Powerful contrasts. The scope is all the more apparent when you can see a human walking in the wreckage; it really gives a sense of the scale of things (the width of the river etc). Thank you for posting this.

Good video. The shots from your drone are well done. 3 months before Helene We paddled part of the Nolichuky and had to walk part of it because it wasn’t deep enough. Then I had friends that were air lifted off the roof of the Hospital. Unbelievable. Rough times but We are coming back. And will continue to.

Again I have no words. Watching the striking difference of before and after just makes my heart sick that we will never have things the way they were before. I know they are trying to make it better, but it just won't be the same will it? Too much damage to the river and land. It's unreal the scale of it also. When you watch someone walking in an area of destruction it smacks you in the face of the size of it all. Again it's a great video for people to see and understand just how much damage there has been and how much help we still need. Thank you for your efforts in showing this. Whether it's in TN where you are or NC where I am, it's the same everywhere. Long road ahead I'm afraid. Happy New Year. May 2025 give back some of what we all lost in 2024.

Breaks my heart to see such a beautiful river destroyed like that. I have spent a lot of time fishing and floating the river in times past alot of good memories with friends who have sadly past.

Thank you! People forget that water is the most powerful force on this planet. It will take mountains like the Himalayans and grind them down to the finest sand. The Appalachians were, millions of years ago, as tall as the Himalayans are now. Now they are a shadow of their former selves. I was absolutely shocked when a neighbor told me that the 81S bridge over the Nolichucky had been washed away and even more shocked when I saw footage on KZbin of what the area looked like, including te photos of the Lamar Convenience center's border with the Nolichucky having had about 1/3 to 1/2 of it washed away.

Awesome video! I live very close to the area but cannot bring myself to go look. Your videos bring me to tears seeing the destruction still today. My thought……can we take back what the river claimed? We try to control but it bites us everytime. The drone footage in the snow is so peaceful to me.❤😢

Thanks so much for watching and commenting, really appreciate it. I'm not sure, I know they plan to restore the river banks but who knows if that will work if another flood happens. Time will tell I suppose.

This was about greedy corporations being able to get assets to their property without anyone knowing what is going on. More and more people are losing their property rights now. They still have payments on their homes that not longer exist.

I wonder how many millions of tons of topsoil was washed away...and where did it all end up? All that newly exposed rock aint gonna grow grass. Very sad...it'll.never look like it did again in our lifetimes.
