Funny you mentioned a KISS reference - F Chopper Koga said when they first started G.S. that KISS was a huge influence on the costumes and production for her - this is another song that proves Hana is a phenomenal drummer

They made 9 MVs in a short amount of time and they tried to make them all different. They used up the "live play" version for Loud Twin Stars and partly for Take my chance, and it looks like they didn't want to repeat themselves except the Dolls-Motive (the slo-mo acting and stylized look). Regarding this MV: HYPER CORE is a clothing shop in Tokyo and they are friends with the owner (Shop still exists). Over the years they presented some of the clothes working as his fashion models and in exchange got to sell some of their GS-wear in his shop. I think Angie (GS's new vocalist) was working as a model there this year. Man, you really gotta watch some of the live footage from their DVD (it's all on yt somewhere) and you'll get your wish of the aggressive matching moving pictures you want :) Cheers

Nice Reaction! Now, You better order the 2 DVD's they have released "High $pec High Return" and Dolls Collection" since You know that You need to. The Live DVD "High $pec High Return" was recorded the same evening they recorded the "Tour 止まらない 2018 Final" with Gacharic spin that is also pretty awsome as well so, buy that one as too when You're at it. Lyrics are about living as wind up dolls in a mechanical town. To Japanese the video makes immense sense.

Another great review of an amazing band. My introduction to this song was the live version which starts with an incredible guitar intro by Tomo-zo. You need to watch this since it is still high energy with a bit darker driving edge to it. DOLL$BOXX - Karakuri Town [high $pec High Return 2018]

Some Gacharic Spin suggestions since you asked: "I Wish I" is tremendous. It has a rich, complex arrangement with substantial dynamic shifts. They have a MV and two official live versions on their channel. I suggest the live version from TOYOSU PIT with hard-subbed English lyrics. And a wildcard suggestion: "Ghost Rule", because it continues the face-paint theme. This is a cover of a Hatsune Miku song. It includes a Tomo-zo vs Tomo-zo guitar battle and Oreo in her cheeseburger phase.

You guys are awesome, reacting to all MVs from this album is insanely sick! This is my fav song from the album, but they are all great and telling their own unique stories. I look forward to see you react to GS and i hope you will react to Fukis old band Lightbringer if you havent done it. I would suggest the song Resistance where her vocals are obv top notch :)

You are on a learning curve about Japanese music. Saying the video concept is not what you do is precisely the point. Accept that other countries don’t necessarily follow a North American mindset as far as music is concerned.

Karakuri roughly translates to “puppet”, hence the ropes (puppets on strings).

Just FYI, there’s a hidden track at the end of the album that they didn’t do a video for. It’s a “cover”/remix of the Garcharic Spin song “Nudie Rhythm”, which featured Oreo (Doll$Boxx/GS keyboardist) on lead vocals alongside everyone’s favorite blue-haired drummer, Hana.
