Marko plays here a Warwick Bass combined with a Framus guitar. Both are German manufacturers, although Warwick has since bought Framus. This double neck is handmade and made exclusively for Marko. The colors of Floor's clothing blue and white symbolize the national colors of Finland, where the concert took place.

That's just a touch erroneous, the double neck is available to all and not exclusive, it's in the Warwick catalogue, but is a custom shop special order; the exclusivity might be the price which is above 14,000 USD. 🙂

The instrument Troy is called an Irish Bouzouki FYI. Marko is playing a Framus double-neck guitar/bass. Floor wore this dress on purpose - it is the same color as the Finnish flag and her parents were front and center at the last show of the tour.

Marko and Floor sound great no matter who they sing with. they know there voices so well they can sing with anyone and match them. love this song, it has such a good driving rhythm. Tuomas doesn't know how to write a bad song. they can all be sorta flashy but only do it when needed for the song.

The spoken part is voiced by evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins, you will hear him again when you get to Shudder Before the Beautiful and The Greatest Show On Earth. His works are some of the inspiration for the Endless Forms Most Beautiful album ,from which this song is on. The first album recorded with Floor and Kai. The song is a criticism of the negative aspects of organized religion. A great one for a good look at Kai. Marko's double neck, "The Beast" , is a Warwick Infinity and Framus Panthera custom combo (both brand names are owned by the same company). It's very heavy and very expensive. Yes, you were hearing the guitar neck, along with Troy's Irish Bouzouki. Btw, Tampere is a 3 syllable word. When you get to Stargazers from this concert, you can hear Floor say it in the intro.

"Master Passion Greed" is probably their heaviest song but you won't find any live performances of it unfortunately as it was recorded in the aftermath of their going separate ways with Tarja and I'm not even sure they've ever performed it live. You can feel the power, the anger, angst and pain in every second of it with Marco going full on metal vocals. I didn't believe it was Jukka on drums when I first heard it - yeah he's a great drummer (and dare I say I prefer his drum "sound" to Kai's!) but I didn't think he could go that fast!!

Tampere is a great concert (highlights for me are "Sleeping Sun" and "The Islander"), but Wembley 2015 is even better in my opinion. If you want some heavy bangers try "Yours Is An Empty Hope," "7 Days To The Wolves." and "Shudder Before The Beautiful" (all from Wembley). And of course Wembley also features their masterpiece "The Poet And The Pendulum."

Best version is again the Nightwish Arena remastered HQ version, because it includes some fun banter at the beginning that is left out of the official NW version.

First : Troy is playing an Electric Bouzouki ( A musical instrument popular in Greece. It is a member of the long-necked lute family, with a round body with a flat top and a long neck with a fretted fingerboard.). Marko is Playing an Warwick Infinity / Panthera Double neck Bass and Guitar ( It is called THE BEAST). This song is against organized religions based on tribal religious texts, especially The Bible, it's not against personal faith in some Deity. However, one should realize that all those religious texts are & have been interpreted and used to justify unimaginable cruelties, persecution, discrimination etc., the worst being the idea that man is separate from nature & by some divine right above all other lifeforms, which explains the current almost catastrophic state of our planet. lyrics are spot on - so many fractures in our world have a root in the fantasy that each of the religions/sects/whatever are THE ONE way. This song speaks, with anger, against the fact that we humans are destroying ourselves and this world based on a power structure that needs to be made obsolete - we ALL deserve better. I LOVE this Song . Especially Floor's Freddie Mercury pose at the end .
