Broken by the Scream is probably the most extreme mixer of genres out of all the alt idols out there. After PassCode wasn't relegated to small live houses forever more and more alt idol groups started to incorporate harsh vocals. BbtS was one of the earlier ones to incorporate them as well but there are others out there so seeing groups like this isn't exactly surprising. They are also fully accepted within the extreme side of the Japanese metal scene so they perform with the likes of Jiluka and other deathcore/death metal bands. I don't know if they'll ever get as popular as let's say Dir En Grey but they have found a large enough audience to be stable monetarily.

Just one of those fun facts: The structure you see in the background is "Meiji 100 Year Anniversary Observation Tower" It's located on the east coast of Japan in Tokyo Bay. It's the same towers where Nemophila shot their video for "Revive". But on that day it was obviously way more windy. 🙂

Ah my most anticipated reaction! Lets see how this goes!!! Technically it's an Idol group. The 4 women vocalists up front. Band in the back. Lead guitarist writes the songs. Sometimes live the band plays live with the singers. Sometimes it's just the singers to backing tracks, eg if performing abroad. So semi band, semi idol. The band is called Zombie Band. As far as I know it's the same band members, over time it's possible the band have switched some members but not that I am aware of. It's always the same band they record with etc as far as I know. And yes Sam, (or is it Chris, I get confused) there is also ANOTHER song that starts like this isn't there, "Passcode - Taking You Out", remember :D Recently they lost all singers apart from the lower growler, io (who is absolutely hilarious by the way). The others have now been replaced with new members but they have not released much yet. However they already have about 49 songs most of which are good. First small 2017 album isn't brilliant, rest is solid, well I would say amazing, but then I love this band. 2 best things to form in 2016, and really get going in 2017. Lovebites, Broken By The Scream. Suggestions added on the community tab. Also, now I can't help but see the songs opening frame as a scene from a 50s B movie. Damn it!

I love Broken By The Scream, they did a Europe tour last month and I was able to see them three times. Two of the members left since this song was recorded and new members have taken their places, but the new ones are really good as well. The guitarist is called Electro Sonar, he is also a solo musician and produces and composes the music for BBTS. The bassist is called Shishou and the drummer in this video is Maki, but they mostly work with a drummer called Vava. If I can recommend you something, it is another metal idol group called Shinshi Todoroku, Gekijou no Gotoku (short form: Shingeki), as a song I would recommend Shinsoukyoku: Inferno, original youtube title 『神奏曲:インフェルノ』-神激(神使轟く、激情の如く。) Their music is very unique.

I thought there name definitely sounded very early hxc scene era when I first heard them. This is indeed what the song is called. As far as the band as someone commented already that is Zombie band and the guitarist electro sonar composes all the songs. The drummer in this video I believe was a fill as the drummer they have is named Vava. Probably their other popular song is Sayonara Birthday and they have some good live tracks on their channel that I recommend checking. Latest music video has their current line up as Io (the low growler whose talent is insane) is the only original member.
