Always wear your life jackets! Always. And hook that crank bait. Treble hooks in the cheek is no fun. Next time at the rigs try vertical jigging and drop down cut bait.

Great video bro. You will need shorter stiffer spinning rods so you can hook the fish, otherwise you will continually fail and loose many fish. Hope that helps.

The offshore oil platform we were fishing around is the source of the beeping. It makes the noise to signal that it is unmanned and is safety for when ships travel at night as well.

There is a flaw in those treble hook lures . Work well with some species but most in all NOT so great with others . Do yourself a favor and take your plyer out and snap off one of the vertical hook . Your hook should rest down horizontally on both side . Trust me , you will get more proper hook set now . Your odds are much better now . Me personally , depending on my game ? I usually change the treble hook out to a single , thats to insure they get a good hold of the lure without complication .

Well if you paid attention I did not catch the shark and neither was I fishing for them. I don’t think you should cut the line either but what else are you gonna do when your yak buddy catches one and doesn’t have anything to safely remove the hook? I’m not getting my fingers cut off for someone else’s mistake, and I’m definitely not giving the sport a bad name considering I have never shark fished nor really cared to. I myself was fishing for dinner and clearly wasn’t shark fishing. But like I said, I agree that the hook should be removed.
