Yes, Steve's hair was as legendary as his voice 🤣. Women were getting the Steve Perry haircut thinking their hair would flow perfectly like Steve's. People didn't understand ethnicity back then like we do now. Steve is 100% Portuguese. That's where the hair comes from along with his beautiful olive skin. He was beautiful then and at 72 yrs old, he is still one beautiful man.

First concert, Nassau Coliseum, 15 yrs old, 1980 Escape? It was a great first show, I remember thinking at the time that the singer was a bonified rock star. It was sort of overwhelming, I knew at that moment that I had to get into show business as soon as possible.

Everyone gushes over perry, which is fine, but Rollie is a heavy weight in his own right. Prior to Journey, check out Santana. Look at the dude playing keyboards, and hammering the vocals. Black Magic Woman… yup Gregg Rollie. After journey he was killing the vocals for Ringo Starr ( post Beatles ) and his Allstars. He’s still cranking out his own material, as well.
