Maybe ask Clint & Heidi Smith at thunder ranch, for some tips & realistic expectations..that's been their forte for a long time & they'll know what works! Other gunshops & bunker brand partners could also help & invest a little, and a go fund me page would also soon show you how serious the fans are, before you commit to anything larger-scale.. If they can raise X amount, you'll commit to matching it, and whatever facilities that allows for, is what we get.. Rinse & repeat every 2 years or so.

Yeah... Don't wear cotton. There's a saying that people who practice survival skills have. It's "Cotton Kills". Cotton loses 100% of it's insulating properties when it's wet. Gotta wear a synthetic base layer of some sort like polypropylene or polyester. Some people do silk as well. It's just significantly more expensive. That will wick the moisture away from your skin which will keep you warmer, and do a synthetic outer layer as well like a Gore-Tex or some sort of polyester fleece or something. If you need to be REALLY warm you could do a merino wool outer layer. Wool keeps its insulating properties when wet.
@claytonhawk85123 жыл бұрын
This is probably all true, but I personally hate wearing synthetic materials when I'm outside for long periods, especially if I'm gonna start sweating. For one thing, it stinks when it's sweaty. Second, polyester gets uncomfortable when your sweat dries and your all sticky. Just a trade off, I guess. To each their own.
