Matt, I’m one of your older viewers, and by that I mean I’m old. I am your dad’s age. The years in which your dad and I were raised were simple, and you didn’t really have to worry about your neighbors or people for that matter. But my grandkids, a couple of them in their late teens and early twenties, who have social media pages, have had problems with psychos stalking them. But you being as big a media presence, I can only imagine the hell you and your family have been through. When you bought the abandoned mansion I thought that was a smart move, on a hilltop and all. The main thing is your number one concern is your family, and your family you protect with your life. God’s blessings to you all.

As much as I loved seeing Mere and the kids on the channels, I fully understand your decisions and am glad that you guys made the call to put some distance between your family and the internet. Keeping them safe is more important than the entertainment of a bunch of internet denizens, and even more than continuing a passion project. It’s a very weird feeling when you close a business that is your passion!! To the creator, especially in a creative endeavor, it’s not just a job, it is an extension of your mind, body and spirit!! It can almost feel like an amputation of a limb. The best time to do something like this is when you’re on top. If you would have drug out the hardships and misery of trying to deal with all of the background noise,it would have caused too many problems. You guys are making a painful decision. By putting yourselves and family first you’re doing the best thing. Projects come and go. In the big scheme of things, it’s just stuff but family is irreplaceable. I’m pleased that you’ll be able to look back at all of the adventures you have experienced because of your creativity. I am more than sure that you have brought much joy and happiness to a lot of people!! I know of a number of KZbin families that have had to curb their filming and videos because some people just are so entitled that they think they somehow own you or that you owe them something. Nothing is more important that your family and keeping them safe. Worst case scenario is that you go back to being a full-time vet. I love your family and videos. Keep them coming. On top of all that scary stuff, you have to deal with the pandemic and ridiculous economy as a business owner. Most of the people in my field have closed down permanently, which has been a great Boon for me personally, but I can't be happy about gaining business because another business closed.
