Offworld BYOSphere Practice Pad

The BYOSphere practice pad from offworld is the result of a parternership with BYOS to create a pad for Ralph and Harvey to use with their videos. It's a lightweight pad that is easily portable and has several accessories including a snare puck, cymbal mount and sound deadening puck.

Came back to this vid after a while and thought about a newer pad company rudimental control like rd they have some customizable pads like there’s with different graphics and such and I would wonder if you would like to review one of their pads

Just went and played on it both ways. It a noticable, but not super huge difference. There is definitely some snare rattle with it in.

I got that bad and the laminate stopped sticking to the gum rubber, so I have to use the pad with out a laminate,

That's one of the reasons I didn't take it off in the vid. I know it's supposed to restick, but I didn't want to try it and have it not go back on perfect

I'm sure Offworld sells the laminate separate.?? And cleaning the surface with Windex is supposed to help with this. I don't plan to take the laminate off at all for this reason. I got the pad for the articulation anyway.

@@DennisJohnsonDrummer ye I like it because of that to, but it’s sad because, I bought the off world cleaning liquid and it still didn’t work.....I feel it’s just a defect in the priducy

@@DennisJohnsonDrummer I assume he'd sell it to you separate? I hear it's easy on easy off, but I haven't tried taking it off as I also bought it for the articulation. I have used windex on the darkmatter side of my original V3 and it seems to work well.

I just received this package today! So far, its fantastic! I have adjusted the newest snare puck to make it sound as real as possible. It is a huge upgrade from my last practice pad. It was also shipped to our old house, we just moved from. I just thought I would share that cause I think its kind of funny LOL!

How is the rebound compared to a offworld v3? Same? Different?

They are all sort of just a different feel. I think the V3 has a deader more thuddy feeling as it sits flat on the counter. I feel like the rebound on the BYOS is better, more like playing on a board. It's also a lot louder. Check out my sound comparison video

@@MegaClutch7 I know it sounds sketch on KZbin but I can sell you one. I have the byosphere with no laminate on the top, and I’m pretty sure I have the snare, mute, and cymbal puck. I don’t use it as much as my regular invader or rcp pads.
