Kev definitely has a lock on the OGs, with history and grown men changing their lives for the good. I can't hate on Alonzo, he's grinding his hustle; he's putting in work.Kev and Alonzo are delivering what we want, like cats selling rocks back in the day. West coast cats referred to it as rock, not crack, the media pushed that shit. You choose which cat has the best product for you. To me Kev is like the Choco heron from pulp fiction. His interviews are more intense and you know its a mad man. Many times you watch them more than once, taking in knowledge, not wanting to miss and of the jewels that are dropped by, "the people that were there"

To be fair, Jimmy lavender said in his interview that the Denver lanes had faded off the map around 75. That's why it was so easy to take 107. He didn't take it from them,because they weren't there.
@o4tw382 Жыл бұрын
He did mention that it was a point in time were no one had seen or heard from the Lanes. They’d been nonexistent for a period of time. You’re right. That didn’t take much territory from the Lanes but they were able to gather a stretch.

I lived around the corner from Moo on 105th in the 70s. He was about my oldest sisters age. I remember when Andre, Moo's little brother, got shot in front of the telephone company. Looking back I wonder how the neighborhood would have been if that never happened. I was supposed to attend Washington high in 1979. I was told at gun point on the campus, if you ain't with us, ya dead and got bused to Narbonne HS. There were some good people but there was also too much BS. People getting beat up or killed because of where their parents moved. I also nearly got it in Inglewood because I didn't know anything about Family.

@gnosferatu6673 жыл бұрын
@Mambz 323 Thanks for the insight famz. Its crazy that something he started got so outta control to the point where it took even him out. I also read he was actually disillusioned with the way gangbanging/Cripping went. I'm sure he would had tried to bring notable shot callers on all sides together....and I'm very sure the "powers that be" wouldn't had wanted that at all. So even though they can always chalk it up as another "gang related" homicide in the 'hood.. Ray Ray was assassinated on some Cointelpro FBI-CIA antagonistic type shit. It worked out for THEM as far as the "bigger picture" went and still goes. Niggas still set trippin in LA AND Coast to Coast now, whether "wannabes" or really with the shits...

I'm glad he exposed Pookies lie about Tookie being absent when the West Side Cribs was formed.
@robj20278 жыл бұрын
He said everybody has their own story. They all hung out on a regular basis, so the stories might vary slightly depending on where the individual was, and what he heard. Pookie said the meeting he went to was at Washington HS. Hawk's meeting was at Sportsman Park.
@ernestocalderon34538 жыл бұрын
Rob Johnson that's because Pookie was lying about Tookie being locked up, and not being one of the original founders, Hawk just confirmed that was bull shit,
@KevMacVideos8 жыл бұрын
I believe Pookie's version because several others that was there told me the same thing, including Melvin Hardy. Hawk wasn't at the meeting at Washington High, he said as far as he's concerned it was at Sportsman Park which came later. Tookie was supposedly in jail for joyriding for a week when it all went down. No disrespect to Hawk his interview was a real good one but if I had to choose the most accurate I would have to roll with Melvin Hardy's version on this one because he was there, and Pookie was there, Hawk wasn't.
