As someone from Ngor Okpala LGA in Imo State, I see firsthand how proximity to Etche in Rivers State influences our shared history and interactions. Despite the closeness, the boundary divisions have created differing perceptions of identity over time. For example, many communities on the Rivers side, though culturally and linguistically similar, often identify differently due to historical and political factors. This highlights the importance of fostering unity and understanding within the Igbo people to preserve our shared heritage and strengthen our community bonds.

If you knew how many times offers have been made to us in order to lure us into joining Rivers, you will understand that this is beyond normal. The fact that joining Rivers simply means forfeiting our identity is even what made it worse. Go to the parts of Ohaji/Egbema in Imo, it's still same crisis. So if we don't start to sensitive our lost brothers, they will move from boundary to boundary until there won't be any of us left.

There is something I want to ❤contribute to this Igbo Unification. If a particular group of people do not want to associate themselves to this goal, they should not be forced to join. When the going becomes sweet,those people should be treated as outcast if they show face. You don't force someone to eat your delicious food with you because I believe we a re chosen person and people should beg to align with us. With time the tide will change, just let the Igbos continue to remain focus on what makes them Igbo for we are not two in the world. God bless Nigeria, God bless Igboland, land of chosen people.

I applaud what NnaaMehn is doing. Sensitizing the people about their identity is very necessary because if we fail to do so today, it may be too late someday. And by the time the agenda of the enemies of the Igbo-race has actualized, they will start invading the South Eastern region bit by bit, until there won't be any Igbos left. Bro, I come from Ngor Okpala LGA in Imo state. My village has close proximity with Etche in Rivers. If you know how many times the government of Rivers has made offers to us just to lure us into becoming part of Rivers. The fact that our brothers from the other part of the boundary who speaks Igbo even better than we, go to Owerri for their market stocking since it's closer to them than Port Harcourt, but will still boldly tell you they are not Igbos, makes it quite alarming. History even have it that one man gave birth to the children that spread to form these villages. We never had issues until after the demarcation. So you can see why we must not stop on this journey to unit the Igbos cos the enemy is lingering around waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.
