Something about either a pair of KW's or a KW/Apache combo is crazy satisfying. Great vid. For a bit of range, you can "LOAL" the APK's. They go terminal and skim the moment they acquire. I tend to run by the rule of holding off for a +/- second on the laser per km. Throw some alt and speed in, and you can easily get them out to about 6km. 👌

I just hit 6km shots easily when shooting while holding the laser down so they acquired at the start on contention

Had to do a small refresher myself on it. The hellfire cam act up. Check its settings. Sometimes switching into override and make sure the laser code is selected.

Hell yeah, kiowa is the most fun. Usually apkws will cook off a btr or bmp like 60-90 seconds after impact, probably 80% of the time. Hellfires are reported to have issues after this current update on the kiowa, wasntvsuppose to release but will be all fixed soon.

Hey i've been watching your videos and i think they're really nicely done! quick question on the missions you play, are you editing those and play with friends, or you join servers with those missions already made by the server?

You can get 10km out of the APKWS, Just fire them upwards like you did, But DONT LAS wait until theyre about half way.. LAS. If you las instantly the rocket instantly pulls its nose down, and kills the amount of glide energy they have. Basically you want to fire them upwards like a mortar, then laser for when its nose comes down on its own 8km is pretty easy doing it this way

first hellfire was set to A and the second was B, if you dont switch it, it won't fire.

there is a Mounted sight but it is only optional through the mission editor

I wonder how careful maintenance had to be after aircraft returned with a hung missile. interesting, never thought about that.

There's even a warning section in the NATOPS about jetting hung stores. "Activation of Jettison switch during missile hangfire may cause missile launcher package to veer off course, possibly into the aircraft or rotor disk."
