Any pain at all in the eye is agonizing. You get a hair or anything else stuck in your eye, unless you're in a house that's literally on fire, you're gonna stop to try to fish it out. There's just something about the eye that doesn't lend itself to "mild" pain. Because that screaming you did to illustrate a point, that's literally what everybody I know does when anything gets stuck in their eye. Everything else has to wait. I hope you feel better!

Ouch! I'd never heard of episcleritis before. I sleep with my eyes open because I have rubber band thingies holding up my eyelids (I was born with ptosis) and every once in awhile I wake up and one of my eyes is really red, painful, teary, etc. Not fun! I hope your eye gets better soon!

We studied so called lazy eye. It has to be taken care of early, if the person is going to be able to process sight.

As a general comment, what we eat can often affect our health. If possible, I would recommend a diet with a lot of fruits and veggies. As well as tea for anti-oxidants. Eggs and.milk are two foods which are very nutritious. Try to avoid foods that have too much fat, like fried foods. For example, fish and chips literally fill the blood with fat. Fermented foods and fiber are both important for gut health. The goal is to eat a diet that is anti-inflammatory.

This was me researching medical journals. Of course, my not talking now , doesn't convey my sarcasm sometimes. But in all seriousness, this really gives me more information that is very helpful. I hope you are feeling better when this video is released. ❤ of course on a secondary note. My team of pulmonary ent doctors finally gave me an antibiotic for bronchitis. Whole my mucus is still very bad at least the blood and chunks are disappearing. Unfortunately, it was after pulling muscles on both sides from coughing. Hopefully this group can now realize i am my own doctor. ❤❤❤ Merry Christmas

Sounds like when I broke my finger. The hospital wrote in my chart that my pain scale was a 6. After havin 2 back surgeries, I tolerate pain better bit it still hurts. I hope you're feeling better.

Hi! Good to see another one of your videos. Hope your eye is better very soon. I’m wondering…how do you speak so fluently with the vent? My friend Janice had to unhook her tube and close the hole with her finger to speak. Very shortly, she would have to hook up the tube again to breathe. Janice ambu-ed a lot, because she never had a wheelchair that could accommodate her vent (damned insurance companies, not to mention wheelchair dealers, who deserve their own circle of Hell). Anyhow, that may be one difference between the two of you, but how do you do it? Thanks!

Thank you for the question. I use the back pressure of the ventilator to push air up my airways, through my vocal cords and out my mouth. Some people can do that while others cannot. I am sorry to hear about your friend's challenges.
