I love this song And the lead singer Mark Adam Wood, is married to Sharon Hill, a former Soul train dancer. She used to dance a lot with the late Tyrone Proctor.

Listen to "I Wanta Hold Your Hand." As someone commented years ago about the Lakeside cover of that Beatles song: "Paul McCartney of the Beatles wrote it, But Lakeside PREACHED IT!"🎉

The great thing about the 80 funk bands is the fact they could play funky and then slow it all the way down. Lakeside, Al Hudson and One Way, Dazz Band and many others were so multi-talented. One fun fact is just about all those bands were from the state of Ohio.

I knew you guys would love this one. Here’s some more suggestions for Lakeside All The Way Live (1978) Raid (1983) I Can’t Get You Out Of My Head (1979) I Love Everything You Do (1980) Real Love (1983) Something About That Woman (1981) Given In To Love (1978) Your Wish Is My Command (1980) Your Love Is On The One (1980) Thanks as always Jay and Amber 😊

I've never heard this one before but it sounds like old school begging music. It's that R & B style where a guy is begging his woman to come back or begging for love. I think it's always the most passionate. You don't hear that much anymore since Boys II Men. I do like it :)

Soooo glad you got around to reacting to this song. I knew you would love it. Back in the day, we didn't have internet of course. We would call the radio station and ask the D.J. to dedicate it to your girl. They have other songs you would probably love: "Raid", "Your Love Is on the One", "It's All the Way Live (Part 1)","Real Love","Something About That Woman", "I Want to Hold Your Hand"(A very different remake of the Beatles Hit ). Thanks again, loved it.

Rachael Price Lead Vocals; Bridget Kearney - Bass; Mike Calabrese - Drums; Akie Bermiss - lead vocals, keyboards starting 2017 ; James Cornelison - guitar starting 2021-after ‘Obviously’album; Mike "McDuck" Olson Guitar 2004-2021. Another R&B Classic! I Keep telling you the Funky, Soulful R&B genre between 1975 and 85 was unmatched in dance and slow jams/love songs. Unfortunately that is why they tried to get rid of disco, even though R&B is not disco. Several Artist you have not even touched yet, Angela Bofill, SOS Band, Switch, Atlantic Starr and several you have to get back to, Phyillis Hyman, Franky Beverly and Maze, EWF, Cameo and ConFunkShun.

Hey Amber, here's another song by an artist I believe you've reacted to before. And I thought you might like to check out more of her tunes, if interested. "Sheryl Crow The First Cut Is The Deepest (Official Music Video) (by the channel: Sheryl Crow) --This is Sheryl Crow's rendition of a song, that was original was recorded by Rod Stewart. Her song was released as a single from her compilation album called "The Very Best of Sheryl Crow" released in 2003. This would be a great "female artist song" for Friday (IMO).
