Probably my favorite Lakeside song. My band played this song bsck in the 80s in nightclubs. Women reached to it just like you did 44 years ago. It's timeless

This song is personal for Mark Woods Jr. He's been happily married for over 30 yrs as so was I. My late wife and I saw them perform back the 80's Great time to be born. I'm 62 and to hear these songs again bring a tear to my eye because my life's love is now with Jesus. This one is one of our favorite. Your reaction and comments were on point. Young men need to get back to this type of dialog, from which music comes. Love you Ashley and thanks for all you do.

My condolences to you on the passing of your wife. I cannot imagine what you go through from day to day, let alone what you go through in the midnight hour. The females of today aren't the women of your time. The women of your time earned these words, these sentiments, this music, and this performance. In short, these females are 304s do not compare to the women that their grandmothers and great grandmothers were. The men of today are not going to celebrate harlots and jezebels. No culture on earth at no time does that.

@@SlimDaddy9 I wholeheartedly agree. LIke they say, "you can't teach an old dog, new tricks"... you also can't teach an new one, old tricks. They will never duplicate what we had. That's not the problem. The problem is, they won't even try. Thanks for comment & condolences. Another saying is, "There, but by the grace of God, go I. God bless you & Ashley.

@kbquan i agree. They won't try. That's the tragedy of it. They could have this level of devotion, but they're too lazy and entitled to work for it. Peace and blessings to you and your family in your wife's absence. May she sleep in power...

I've been waiting for you to do this one. Yes, this is true when a soft hand to the face and gentle eyes and a warm smile, a kind word can make a world of difference to a man. That woman is priceless to me. One of my favorite songs ever. I saw them in high school when they were the original group. I really appreciate your reaction to this song. Love your reactions and you're the funniest reactor on KZbin to me. I'm really looking forward to you reaching 100k subscribers. Don't change be true to the Christ in you and you will get there. God Bless you!

They made a song titled "Say Yes". I cannot find a live recording of it but the song is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Reminded me of my days while attending tech school for the US Air Force back in 1983. Puppy love was in full effect!!! LOL!

Lakeside Hits include Fantastic Voyage, It’s All the Way Live, Something About That Woman, RAID, I Want to Hold Your Hand, Real Love, YOUR LOVE IS ON THE ONE(my absolute top song by this great band), and Your Wish is My Command. Those are a few of my favorites! I love this one! I had not heard it! Great request and reaction Ashley! I was one of the fortunate ones to have been born in that era! We had so many great 👍🏽 🎵 songs!

The lead singer. His name is Mark Woods Jr. He most likely was singing to Sharon Hill, one of the original Soul Train dancers who danced with (Tyrone Proctor. May he rest in peace.) Mark and Sharon have been married for over 30 years

Caught them at the Felt Forum in NYC back in the early 80s. The artists appearing at that show were from Solar Records, like Dynasty, Shalimar, and headlining were The Whispers. Lakeside had everybody up and out of their seats jamming to the funk of Fantastic Voyage and It's All The Way Live. When music was music! ❤

An ounce of gratitude is priceless when it's being shown and or respected by the other half of the relationship. Some will give and give again until they're totally given out. I know that feeling first hand because I've been there. More times than I wanted but it is what it is. I still believe in love and happiness though.

Lakeside was not known so much for their ballads. But for a funk band to have been considered a bonafide funk band you had to have what we called the funk ballad, also.

It's a shame that nobody makes music like this anymore.I blame the women of today.Men are going to make the music that sells and get them women and today's women love the bad boys, and music that degrading to them and the young men feel this is "simp" music.

This is pure soul. When music was music. When a man sang to a woman with love respect openness feeling vulnerability with no profanity ratchedness degeneracy disrespect ad infinitum. Entertainers today are all about social media fakeness to make a quick buck and disappear to oblivion. Others just churn out synchronized noise that's banal stale puerile and of no meaning. Rubbish essentially. A pity that we'll never get to see and hear such music again.
