Great video Scott. Glad to see you were able to get it sorted out. Thanks for the shoutout at the end.

I am looking at getting a Cheetah. I bet a dab of hi temp silicone would do the trick on the gap by the back of the motor. Once it has cured the silicone would prevent debris from entering yet is flexible enough to remove by peeling off. You may want to scuff the surface if it is very smooth. Thanks for your video and I think you have helped me make up my mind!

not a bad idea however the gap is bigger than it looks. the tape method is just downright easy. thanks for watching!

Nice vid on maintenance, however, I noticed that the motor heat sink had a couple of fans attached, is this something you designed yourself or a part that can be bought?
@rcmustsee4377 жыл бұрын
that is an Integy traxxas slash 4x4 twin fan. can find it on a-main probably.

Soo I got my cheetah in Christmas and it's my first rc car. Two days ago I was riding it and it just stopped. So I turned it off and on and it went for about 2 seconds and stopped again. It won't even steer or move at all. Every time I turn it off and on it only drives for about 2-3 seconds. When I turn the wheel sometimes the lights go dim even though the car doesn't move at all. If any one could tell me what's wrong with it I'd appreciate it because I don't know much about rc cars at all... thanks!
@rcmustsee4378 жыл бұрын
1st, don't ride your rc car! haha jk. sounds like the battery died. the truck wont let it run down to 0% battery because that destroys lipo batts. it will only last about 20 min of use. immediately recharge if it is not hot and try again.

Before replacing the servo there's a quick test you can make on your receiver unplug Channel 1 wire which is the servo steering channel if the car accelerates normal with no issues and with no lights blinking , you would know it was the steering servo which was causing the issue . JLB Cheetah ESC is waterproof and has high voltage protection the Receiver is also Waterproof The Steering Servo is not even in dump proof and will cause the system to fail if not replaced
