Wow, the views from the site look amazing! Ahah, the test of the bag of chip never fails with altitude 😉 We drove by but didn't stop. Wish we had! Thank you for sharing Heather!

That bag of chips has been riding around in the back of the truck for oh I don't know how long! We don't eat them very often, but I thought it was hilarious! The loop drive is very pretty and the town is cute - would like to go there in the winter some time, but not with the trailer. Thanks for watching :)

The Eastern Sierras are dry(ish), but have gorgeous lakes, creeks and streams! The color of June Lake is so beautiful! And this area is covered in snow now - yay! Thanks & you too.

Sure is nice. Would be a nice place to live with the high elevation. The summers not being brutal I would imagine. Beautiful lake.

Hey John! It is a really pretty spot, but under a few feet of snow now ~ been getting our winter storms and snow in this area. The summers are probably beautiful! Thanks for watching :)

Thanks ~ sometimes finding the right music is the hardest part! This area is beautiful ~ the color of this lake was amazing! I am ready to go back too, but I think most of this is covered in snow... maybe in the spring! Thanks for watching Eric :)

Ahhh, dying to get back out West! Beautiful color of that lake. That bag of potato chips looks like it was preparing to explode! Another great review, Heather!

Yeah ~ this was a cool spot! The lake was really pretty ~ no one around (was a bit windy) and Lexie loved it as we had just done a rather warm walk at Mono Lake. She was in this lake in seconds! That bag of chips was hilarious. I was afraid to open it. Thanks for watching Randy! Happy Sunday to you :)Heather

spent 2 nights here last week. $33/night now. Both nights quite windy. Windy enough that I didn't bother cooking with my stove. Can tell it's frequently windy as they have those wind screens on some sites. Nice showers at store by Oh Ridge! entrance - $1 / 7 minutes. Well worth it after a long hike (Gem Lake from Silver Lake). Wish it was warmer/less windy and sunnier on end of 2nd day, I would have gone swimming. Alas...another year. 1st night super clear - saw Milky Way quite clearly. Better viewing then Sept Great Basin (NV) a couple years ago or so. A bonus for my (super clean) bathroom 230am visit.

Can we do dispursed camping here?!
@TravelSmallLiveBig3 жыл бұрын
Hi - this is an established campground so parking in and paying for a site is required. There are probably forest roads around the area somewhere with previously used / created sites, but we didn’t have time to explore much. Local BLM or National Forest knowledge, maps or offices may be more helpful than I can be 😬

Can you.swim in this lake?
@TravelSmallLiveBig3 жыл бұрын
Yes! There is a nice swimming beach by the campground. I may have broken the rules by letting my dog in - I didn’t see any signs about no dogs n the way down the beach though. It’s beautiful!
