6:45 fun fact: when Peter III found a rat chewing on one of his toy solders, he put the rat on a legitimate military trial. The rat was found guilty, was court martialed and was sentenced to death by hanging. Peter even had miniature gallows made for the occasion. And that children was the story of the weirdest trial in history.

at the castle i used to work at, the founder of the castle had his coat of arms be a lion with no tongue. the story apparently went, he visited the french nobility but offended the queen, so she set her lion on him. he then wrapped his cloak around his arm and put his hand in its mouth and killed it by pulling out its tongue.

3:27 Well yeah ,60% of the English vocabulary have a French origin (and Normand ,but that's a French dialects anyways) ,because of that ,52% of the English vocabulary is also of Latin origin (But English is still counted as Germanic because that's how it started and the most important word like the 5W (Who ,When ,What ,Where and Why) ,Of ,The ,Be ,To ... Mostly short word English is also the 4th closest langage related to French (If we exclude the other 2 langage of the Gallo-Romance family aka Occitan and Franco-Provençal) with 70% of lexical similarities ,behind Italian (89% of lexical similarities) ,Spanish and Portuguese (Both having 75%) and above German to complete the top 5 ,then you have Romanian and Dutch ,but I forgot which one is 6th .

4:35 Cleopatra's family did it the best, even better then the Habsburgs, with the additional that through all the dinasty they only used 2 different names for the women and 2 other for the men, so on top of being extra inbred, it's extra confusing. Realisticaly, Cleopatra was lucky that she had only a brain (opposed to half a brain and almost 1L of water) inside her skull, so she probably wasn't that beautiful.

She didn't just have a brain, she was known to be ridiculously smart, she spoke like 7 languages. And if we're really gonna assume she wasn't that beautiful then she still obviously had something going for her because Caesar basically took a six-month break during the civil war to have sex with her non-stop and he basically had to be dragged back to Rome by his men. And Mark Anthony basically gave up on his claims as Caesar's successor just to become her simp.

it's a bit harsh and I can understand it. All his life he adored Prussia and was preparing to become king of Sweden. He never liked Russia, he didn't like Russian languages, our people, our culture. He hated Catherine. The era of palace coups was very difficult for Russia and it is clear that the people did not tolerate the traitor king.

The history test reminds me about my history teacher. Taught us about the industrial revolution in every single detail, slowly crawled generically through ww1 and came to a complete halt before ww2. Basically he taught us useless stuff about the 19th century like we were supposed to travel back in time, but nothing about modern history, the one that formed our modern world. I don't care about how many hours 4 y.o. kids worked in safeless factories, I wanna know why the hell my country didn't get back Corsica, Albania and all the other parts of the balkans on the adriatic sea like we were supposed to after ww1. The US was humiliated by the Arabians after the Prince just refused to produce more oil. The US' prestige was also humiliated because India decided that they'd be Gigachad and stay neutral to support their old savior and friend, Russia. And they kinda told the US to stfu when ths US decided to say "There are many religious problems in your country" and India was like "We know that there are troubles for the Indians too in america". Also, the Russian economy isn't even that bad since thwir major allies bought those sweet, juicy oil. So yeah, just wanted to point that out. Edit: Lmao I just found out that the Russian economy is doing better than it was before 2 years so umm, that backfired quite bad didn't it?
