Thank you Tom Petty and the heart breakers, for paying homage to Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac. A lot of folks will comment about how much better the original is/ was. They miss the point entirely. This is a great band doing a cover of a great, great song. I also love the Rockets version.

Written by dear Peter at the height of his powers. He was something else. At the time of its release this stood proud of everything alse as original British Rythm + Blues( obviously not what Fleetwood Mac became, whatever your take on them) Great that Tom Petty included it in this concert. Homage indeed....

I think people who don't listen to this type of music just come here purposely to click on the dislike button. That is all I can think of. Because this is awesome music, and no one should be putting it down, even if they don't prefer it...because it's culture, and culture is what this world needs to thrive. So whoeve didn't like it, go back to where you came from because you don't fit in here if you're going to dislike it. :)

first time I heard this original in 69 when it floated into my office and I picked up the promo LP clipped corner I must have played it 49 times...I made carts and gave it to every big FM station (still a bit underground at that time) in LA and soon it was getting tons of air play and requests coming in. It feel to a cult and musicians classic so was great to hear TP pull it into his act. It certainly is a good one for his group to cover. Mike does it great justice.

My sister told me that she saw him a few years ago and convinced me to go. I was surprised when he did it, and my friend didn't recognize the song. I told him that the old Fleetwood Mac did it (in the late 60's?) along with covers from a few more bands. Good times! They rescheduled for Aug 31st at Blossom Music Center near Akron, I may see that one also.
