Ohgr - "Eyecandy" - Live Drum Session by Justin Bennett

"Eyecandy" from the album "Devils In My Details" by Ohgr, the project by Skinny Puppy frontman Nivek Ogre and producer/composer Mark Walk. Studio drum session recorded in Bologna, Italy. Additional live bass (by William Morrison), synths (by Jeff "Squigg" Smith) and Ogre's voice were recorded on our 2011 Devils In My Details tour.
The time signature on this is always so fun to play around with live, especially in the chorus where the 8th note hats alternate between falling on the downbeats and upbeats, Vinnie Colaiuta style.

Bio:
Justin Bennett has been the live touring drummer for Skinny Puppy since 2004 and My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult since 2003. He has also been the touring drummer for Peter Murphy (Bauhaus), Rozz Williams (Christian Death), and Penal Colony. He recorded and toured with the band Professional Murder Music for Geffen Records from 1999 to 2003. Other projects he's currently involved in include Die So Fluid (post rock), Ketvector (electronic), Bahntier (post industrial), and Askew (audio/video sculpture).
