Excellent Rob! Put-in-Bay was fun to see; it was on our list of places to stop with the 182 last summer. But poor weather required us to divert further southeast. Seeing that they have a state park with RV access looks like a really cool option too. Some day for sure!

Camped at the fairgrounds there to watch the sprint car races every Friday night, then went up to Fremont on Saturday nights. Enjoyed the tour of North High Brewery. Thank you very much for the coverage of Put-In-Bay (which has changed so much since the early 70s) and The Franz Theodore Stone Lab on Gibralter Island. I was a Grad student at Stone Lab from '68-'70. My advisor, Dr. Hamilton, and his family lived in the lighthouse. The gray and white row boat now filled with flowers was one of many issued to each of us to row back and forth from Put-In-Bay to Gibralter Island. The girl students lived in the smaller white cottage while the fellows lived in the castle. After dinner each night we all gathered at the volleyball court (still there) for a good game. I even caught a glimpse of the Ford Tri Motor airplane in the air. That was our air transport when not taking the ferry back to the "mainland".

She had a minor accident, but decided it would be best for all if she gave up driving, but she is not willing to give up going out to eat and taking care of her friends. She lives on her own and keeps very busy. Liz is a distant cousin of mine. Ohio like most states has far more to see than most, even their own residents know about. Besides our state parks being free to enter, we have the free entry into the Air Force Museum in Dayton. Camping in our state parks is affordable, but sadly this year they did away with walk ins so every weekend is fully booked for the rest of the year.

Robert, Donatos is also a home town business, HQ in Columbus and owned by the founder's family after they bought it back from McDonalds, I only wish the founder's daughter Jane could have joined us for our meetup. Glad to see they have made it to your home state. Gabby's husband Ryan was holding Journey before your shot of you holding her. At that time she was 2 months old, now she is very active, yet still small. She started walking at 10 months and is attempting to run now at 11 months, think she will live up to her name and is in a hurry to Journey on. My cousin Liz, now 91 and still living on her own and just in the last month has decided to stop driving, but far from staying home, she and her friends are very active, my heroes and truly show us how to live, never slow down, do what you can and to it's fullest. Btw, I do not wear the same shirt, I have many of them so a new shirt everyday. We look forward to having you back in Ohio, as does Gavin with North High, think a Traveling Robert special batch at the tap room might be made. I know that Miller Ferry among others also looks forward to having you back. If I recall correctly, the guys at the main bar, you see behind the Traveling Buckeyes are from TX out on a long motorcycle trip and fans of yours that heard about your meetup and stopped in. It is so hard to keep up with all and sorry if we missed someone, will try to do better the next time.

I will definitely check it out, especially after watching the video. Such a beautiful place! Columbus is a great city and the State Capitol is a must see next time you visit Columbus. I have traveled the I-70 route many times and the scenery does change as it gets very hill and mountainous in PA. I would recommend a visit to beautiful Pittsburgh and visit the famous Promanti Brothers Restaurant! The food is sooo good, and also take a ride up the Duquesne Incline for a bird's eye view of downtown Pittsburgh with all of the bridges and rivers, such a spectacular place. Hershey is a great town and Gettysburg and Harper's Ferry are great parks. Great video Robert! Can't wait to see the next video.

56:42 "they are also way better for the environment" Not always true. If you have an efficient glass bottle recycling system, you can reuse a bottle dozens of times before it needs to be melted into raw material. You only need to wash it between uses. Cans have to be melted after single use.
@forry1004 жыл бұрын
Problem we have in Ohio is we encourage people to recycle alum, but not glass. If we had deposits on glass, as I think we should that would/should be a game changer. I am old enough to remember getting milk in glass, setting out the empties for the milk man. Taking our glass pop bottles back to the store. North High does use a can locking tab system that breaks down easily too, not a danger to birds, etc if people get careless. Btw, I have a neighbor that drives me nuts, throws all his cans and bottles in the trash.

@Alma Morales, Mrs. Morales, We ALL owe you a big THANK YOU for raising such an amazing son. He is a gift to all of us and I am honored to call him one of my best friends. The stories I got to hear from those that Robert has touched and yes even helped heal was amazing. We have always called him our therapist, if we have a bad day, we can watch one of his videos and all is better. God has truly blessed us all with the gift of Robert, that he blessed you to bring to us and raise. God Bless You Mrs. Morales.

Nice vlog as always! Also, when you go to Ohio again, I recommend visiting the Hocking Hills area about an hour from Columbus.

It is on Roberts must do list, been for some time and if not for having to make the Hershey RV show, he would have made it on this trip.

Very cool trip. Fyi, the great lakes are more an inland sea than a lake. It is so large, it has currents like an ocean.

Wow, we live the other side of the lake in London. We have never explored that area. We always head to northern Ontario or northern Michigan. Yes, Lake Erie can get pretty choppy, we used to go out on 8’ waves on the Jet Ski from Port Stanley. Great Video, learned lots! Margaritaville!

For all those that attended the meetup, I and Gabby are sorry if we missed you in the photos, we tried to get everyone and did not know until near the end that those on the main side of the bar were also there for Robert, think we actually had more than 40 and then later as we got ready to leave Gavin showed back up with some Air Force MPs, who are now fans of Columbus, North High Brewing, Donatos and of course Traveling Robert. Be sure to Thank these businesses for their special support of Robert. Let those you have seen on this video and go to for the first time know how you found them, actually do that for any video of Robert's. They should know how we found them. I can tell you after spending time with Robert, helping shoot video and his constant trying to respond to so many, he truly works hard to give us all great content, it is not an easy job. It may be fun, but far from easy. Always hit the like button, if you must hit the unlike button, hit it twice, tell others about Robert. The higher the numbers, the sooner his wife can join him full-time, being away from Ileana is the hardest part for Robert.

Glad to hear that, my family also farms and without knowing it Robert caught part of it. We are working on a long list to cover so many different types of farms. Hopefully next year if time allows with his summer 2021 Alaska trip.
