Ohio Steel 50" Lawn Sweeper - mass lawn clipping challenge

First 10 minutes use of new lawn sweeper. Demonstrating ability to sweep large quantities of grass clippings.
Installed sprinklers a few years ago and grass grows so prolifically that mowing results in so many clippings the yard looks terrible. Too large to rake so bought a sweeper.
Videos online mostly showed sweeping leaves so I wanted to demo sweeping large volume of grass clippings for those contemplating buying a sweeper for that purpose.
Bought July 2020 from Walmart online for $283 delivered. Took about an hour to assemble, nice instructions.

Good luck! The only concern I think some users might have is when it gets very full it is hard to tip over to empty with the thin rope provided. I also find the location of the rope as being a little inconvenient. Neither is a big problem for me.

Got my new one today. Was able to assemble with NO PROFANITY! That says a lot for the directions & video. The vid was key. Anyway, my craftsman sweeper finally gave it up after 11 years so this looks to be real nice, plus it'll hold almost twice as much in the bag.

First run with this I wasn't paring attention... Filled it to the brim with a huge bale of clippings... Dumped it and was shocked how much it holds! Great tool.

It's too new to properly say. It feels stout though.

Not sure if you bought it but I've had one for 4 years now. I use mine for leaves only, but I have around 35 trees in my acreage, so lot's of leaves. It's held up great for me. The bags bottom has some holes but my yard is not flat at all, so the bag will drag. One piece of advice, I used mine to push leaves I'd dumped into a pile,...to avoid using a rake to make a burn pile. In doing so, I broke the bottom left bracket. Parts are available, so it was fixable. Also, assembly is rather difficult. There's an assembly video on KZbin. I suggest watching it.

I have had three of these over the years and they do a great job. I would only recommend that the wheels and the drive shaft be made a little more heavy. The tires tend to bend out from the heavy weight of the leaves or pine straw. I put larger washers to hold the wheels on to help mine from bending .
