The TTX GP is Ohlins latest shock absorber for hypersport and sport bikes. The suspension is fantastic for this 5'9 160 pound 43 year old. You look a little taller than myself. I could see why you need to stiffen it up some. The gsxr is looking tight and fast. Take care and good luck Max🏆

Brian, You mention in the video that you were going to install a cartridge kit in the forks at a later date. Have you done that yet or are you going to? I've emailed Jimmy for some awesome price's on the shock and cartridge kit, but I would like to hear your thought's if you've done the cartridge install. Thanks, Mark

I had the cartridge kit installed by the Ohlins tech that worked with Team Hammer. The bike is handling amazing! I could not be any happier with this bike. - Van

Did u take the stupid mud gaurd off afterwards??? I got the lighttech hugger aswell also u said u would call me about my ecu issue please do so thank you for your vids and time

I did take the little rubber mud guard off after I installed the shock. Shoot me an email with the issue you are having with the ECU and I will see if I can help. [e-mail] If you have flashed the bike with the Woolich software I have zero experience with that and will not be able to offer any real assistance. - Brian Van

Where's the pitbull "tire ramp" (I don't remember its actual name)? Also, what's your opinion on using impact tools to loosen the larger nuts and bolts on a bike?

I did not use the tire wedge because I am using the Woodcraft Superbike Rear Stand with the Lightech Lifters on the bike now. If you use a Pit Bull Stand the Pit Crew Tire Wedge is just awesome! Here is a link to that on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/pit-bull-pit-crew-tire-wedge/ I do not have any issue with removing bolts using an impact. We don't do that in the videos because most people will be using hand tools. Personally I would not reinstall the fasteners with the impact if you decide to use it to disassemble. - Brian Van

How much firmer can that rear shock get beyond the stock GSXR1000? ( not the GSXR1000R)

To be fair this bike handled great with the OEM suspension right out of the box. That said the OEM rear shock and spring were soft allowing the bike to squat more than I liked. Having ridden the bike for a few sessions with the Ohlins shock the bike handles better at speed than it did previously. The goal is to make the bike as easy as possible to ride fast on the track, suspension is key to making that happen. - Van

I was thinking about flipping them but these are very expensive foot pegs/rearsets and Wanted to be sure

You could use the Pit Bull and make sure they are right up against the rearset bracket just inside the footpeg hinge. You will have a little less surface area for the jack stands but it will work. I have done this in the past on other models. - Van

I also would like to know which is the best shock lengh to start with . I didn’t see any video talking about settings or how to start when you change the shock . STG has more information than us . Really would like to know some more
