since her AGT audition in 2016 And she won with four original songs she wrote herself.. Here are some updates: Grace has had 2 albums that charted in the top 25 (one in the top 10). She has won multiple awards, was the youngest person ever to be named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for music, was on Billboard's 20 under 20 list for 4 straight years, is a Fender Signature Artist (also the youngest ever), with her own line of Ukuleles, played the lead role in the soon to be released in 2020 Disney movie Star Girl, is a model for IMG Models, and was the opening act for the Imagine Dragons at their request and Florence and the Machine. She just finished her 2nd solo tour, and has a new EP that is due out soon, that includes several songs that she has released this year, plus some new ones that she debuted while on tour. Check out some of her new songs.Ur So Beautiful and Waste My Time.. You may be surprised at just how good she is. This is Her latest song I Don't Like You.. You have some catching up to do lol

She just hasn’t been in the spotlight because she’s been behind the scenes being groomed by studio execs to turn her into what this music video is. She isn't being groomed by anybody, its well documented that she writes , produces and controls everything when it comes to her music, she even co- directed her last video, she is still 15yrs and in school , so it isn't her priority right now to be famous , just stay relevant until she's ready

This young lady is a constant surprise and it's wonderful to see she is only getting better as she grows older. Many of the comments I've read here have to do with how everyone seems to be under the impression Grace is "underrated" or not as famous as she should be. Please keep in mind she's just now only 15 years old and it's not really all that hard to see how much success she has already achieved in just three short years. She's still very young and still in school and I hope her family, while supporting her career, is tempering that with just letting her be a youngster and helping her keep her feet firmly on solid ground. How many new young artists have achieved a meteoric rise to fame only to burn out and fade into obscurity in a very short time. Hundreds... The only thing I will say about Grace (and I've said this before) is that I'm not sure if the industry quite knows what to do with her or how to 'classify' her music. She doesn't really quite fit into any defined genre. That, to me, is both a positive and a negative - Positive because it makes her truly unique and one of a kind - Negative because the music industry has historically not been very kind to unique and one of a kind artists. There are, of course, exceptions, but not many. It seems that the artists who fit squarely within a specific genre or music style (country, pop, rock, rap, etc) always seem to end up with long careers and are much more well known by the masses. That, to me is the down side of modern music because some of the best artists and truly gifted talent works in the fringes and shadows and along the edges of the whole scope of music. All types of music on the 'inside' of that circle has, in my opinion, become stale, predictable, repetitive and just plain boring. That's why artists like Grace are a "breath of fresh air" and a true inspiration to those on the outside looking in. We hear you - We see you and we love you for being who you are!
@lorienkam5 жыл бұрын
Something she has that is really great is that a lot of people of different ages like her style and admire her for her music, personality and life choices! That has longevity for sure!! And beautiful deep, soulful, true to life!! Her style should have a new name!!

@smoorej5 жыл бұрын
You’ve nailed it with this. Artists that are unique and that represent a breath of fresh air can be disrupters and I think the music industry, like the stock market, doesn’t like disruption and uncertainty. That being said I don’t think there is any stopping Grace; her stuff is so much better than what’s out there, it’s like she’s on a whole different planet musically. My biggest fear is what the industry does to young artists. It can grind them down with often tragic results. I’ve made myself a vow: if the industry fails her and she ends up a train wreck I will retreat to classical music, delete my music accounts and subscriptions and never listen to a piece of popular music again. The music industry does not deserve someone as wonderful, honest and talented as Grace.

Let's talk about the words. How many people deal with this subject when it comes to family... We want to be accepted by the one's we expect to understand us. Human nature doesn't let this happen very often because either our personal issues or ideals get in the way. God help us all. Beautiful music has rarely helped me understand others but it does in many cases help me (sometimes painfully)to understand myself. "Its not you...it's me"🥰

LYRICS Here we go again in the same story We follow the routine until we say "I'm sorry" Hands are shaking till I just look down at the floor Face is turning red and eyes are going puffy You ask me why we yell and I come up with nothing Your insecurities are pulling you back But please know, oh, oh I love you, but I don't like you The simple truth is I can't do this, though I try to I love you, but I don't like you And I can't shut you out, so I'm shutting my mouth But I'll never despise you I just don't like you Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh We pour our souls out about the past months By just trying to talk about lunch And every single thing you say is gonna start a new war And I'm exhausted from this tug of war of words And when you said "I don't care for you" it got worse We both know it isn't working but I still put you first 'Cause I love you, but I don't like you The simple truth is I can't do this, though I try to I love you, but I don't like you And I can't shut you out, so I'm shutting my mouth But I'll never despise you I just don't like you Ooh We both refuse to lose We both refuse to choose the higher road Which way we go, oh oh, oh oh And ooh (ooh) We both refuse to lose (lose) We both refuse to choose the higher road Which will we go, oh oh, oh oh 'Cause I love you, but I don't like you The simple truth is I can't do this, though I try to I love you, but I don't like you And I can't shut you out, so I'm shutting my mouth But I'll never despise you I just don't like you Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh (And ooh) Oh, oh, oh, oh (We both refuse to lose) (We both refuse to choose the higher road) Oh, oh (Which will we go) Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh I just don't like you

I was amazed by what she did on the show, and I actually put all that and her KZbin stuff on repeat so much I burned myself out on it for a while, but didn’t know about what she did after that. I saw a tweet where Lona Del Ray posted the video of her listening to Ur So Beautiful and decided to go check that out and I was absolutely astonished at how much she has done in the last few years. I’ve watched pretty much everything I can find again and I have bought everything she has on iTunes. I always thought 12 Stars and Light the Sky were pure masterpieces and now I find out she has written several others.
