Has a Habs fan, I'm really starting to doubt if we should trade David Savard. I know he's getting older but damn he really is useful. For those who don't really watch Habs hockey (Can't blame you until lately) Savard has been a stud defensively and he's a very good veteran for our young D core. Also, he's right handed so it helps balance our pairing. When you can leave Guhle on his natural left side he is MUCH better! I'm really wondering if Matheson should be the trade chip for Mtl this year. I really like Mike but he's not the best defensively and now that Hutson is the clear offensive D, his role has kinda been diminished lately. Anyway, loved the video sir!

Things people dont know about the Vancouver situation. -Petterson has a nmc starting next season, so if a trade happens it will be this year. -Miller is loved by the coach, gm and most fans. -Miller also appears to be a locker room cancer. There have been rumours hes been sleeping with Demkos wife, which is why he took personal leave. Imo Petterson will get traded even tho Miller should be. Other gms will also point out the down year he is having so his value will likely be less than expected.

Cozens + Byram/Power + Rosen/Ostlund/Wahlberg + a Conditionally protected 1st/2nd round pick dependent on Byram signing long term with the Canucks/Sending Power over for Elias Pettersson and Tyler Myers/Vincent Desharnais. Yeah, it's an overpayment. But at the same time, this fixes the center depth issue in Buffalo, replaces Byram/Power for the rest of the season, gives the D core some much needed veteran presence in Myers/Desharnais, quality ignored, makes it harder for anyone else interested in him to top and a proper top line center helps all of the young talent coming in to grow into the players they need them to be. Along with this, I truly think Cozens will be a stud in this league, but Buffalo does not offer the proper supports for him to develop into the player that he can be. Sending him off now is not only good for Buffalo, but good for the team that receives him. He's a right shot center, two seasons removed from a 30+ goal season, can play wing, and continuously lights it up in the IIHF when the season is complete, consistently leading the team in scoring. The issue is the veteran support isn't there to help cool him and keep him calm. Vancouver has that.

Well, EP was horrible in the 2nd half of last season. He was actually scoring at a top 3 player's pace in the first half though. Then, he hurt his knee and was playing injured the rest of the season. This season, when Miller was out for those 10 games, Pettersson had 15 points in those 10 games. When Miller came back, he scored 0 points in the first 6 games Miller was back. In the 7th game is where EP scored 2 goals before getting injured. EP is still very capable and was always consistent. His first playoffs, he was a point or over a point per game. Last season, he was playing hurt and this season, it's all in his head. I think the guy might need a change of scenery and or if Miller is traded, he'll slowly become his old self again.

“Years ago” my man he went 89 points in 82 games just last year. Even this year on a down year for that entire squad, he’s still putting up about point per game numbers, as he has throughout his entire career. I hate to break it to you but a 26 year old point per game guy is gonna be highly valued and the idea that he’ll be “worthless” by the time he’s only 28 is a genuinely horrendous take.
