Oil Change 17 Volkswagen Jetta 1.4 tsi

Hey folks!!
Today I bring you an oil change for this 2017 Volkswagen Jetta 1.4t
Tools list:
-3/8" Ratchet
-19mm socket
-t25 torx bit
-oil filter wrench
-car ramps
-oil drain pan
-towel or old shirt
-5w40 oil
-51348 oil filter
-funnel
-Smiles
-oil drain pan

I know this is a year ago but to make things easier, you do not need to remove the rock plate. You can easily reach down and remove the filter from the front portion of the engine. I use a vacuum pump so I never go under the car. l have Rhino ramps l use them for my wife's car.

when you reach down to grab the filter from the top as you described, when you unscrew it, doesn't it spill the residual oil in the under tray. sounds like that would be messy under the car after a couple oil changes.
