This video covers the oil change and yearly service procedure on a first generation Porsche Panamera 3.6L V6. Porsche states the engine oil and filter change is to be completed every 10k miles or once a year.
During the yearly service the most important aspect is the clearing of all water management drains. If these drains are not kept clear there is a possibility of water entry into the cabin.
Call our parts department to purchase Wurth HHS-K or Winzer Rubber Restore.

My name is Ryan. I’ve been a professional automotive technician for over 10 years. Through high school I worked at an independent service shop every day after class, during the summer, and then part time while I attended Universal Technical Institute. While at UTI I applied for and was accepted into the Porsche technology apprentice program (PTAP) in Atlanta Georgia for 6 months of factory training. Once I returned to Chicago, I started my Porsche career at Loeber Motors Porsche in Lincolnwood, Illinois. I’ve been at my dealership for 7 years now.
Every day I come into the shop I strive for perfection in my abilities to maintain and service these amazing machines. My goal with this channel is to show what goes into keeping new and classic Porsche vehicles on the road for years to come.

At first I wondered why the dealer allowed these videos, they’re fantastic, but it must take a little longer to set up. But now I get it, for those of us that wonder why service visits are expensive, here’s the reason. I can only hope that this effort is repeated on my cars here in Toronto. If you ever wanted to move, I’ll be your sponsor. Thank you, your videos as always are a highlight.

You said "if you wonder why the service visits is so high, here's the reason...." lol! Sorry, I must have missed it. What exactly did he do that is worth $600 for oil change? I've done the exact same thing for $75 in about an hour and a half for the last decade my panamera turbo still runs like new. The real reason it cost so much is because you are paying the wage for a master mechanic for an oil change instead of a qualified, competent base level tech. That's equivalent to hiring a Master Brain Surgeon and paying his wage to put a bandaid on your finger instead of a nursing assistant or doing it yourself. That Brain Surgeon charges $300 an hour and you got to pay him for his expertise, decades of experience, years of school, student loans and all his tools and equipment. He is way too over qualified just to hire for petty stuff like an oil change. Hire him for serious stuff that only he can do. If you silly enough to hire him to put fill your tank with gas it would cost you $600 but at least you will have a professional filled tank of gas. That's why it's so expensive.

@@hellbent7062 smh, people like this are why he had to stop posting content I am sure. This isn't a how-to just giving you a sample of what is done on these fine machines. Not sure if you are aware but these businesses operate for profit unlike the weekend warrior changing oil at home. There are enormous expenses operating a dealership service department, especially for Porsche. You're not paying for a master tech to just change your oil as you get a glimpse into other things checked so that Dr changing your bandaid is looking at more than your 75.00 bobos. If you're going to menstruate about the oil change cost I would buy a Camry.

wnmoy I try to constantly improve and learn from other techs who are more experienced than me. Now it might sound a little arrogant but I want to know everything possible and be the best. I think all young techs start out with this attitude but slowly lose this drive over time in the field. Eventually some, not all, but some techs become complacent and just do the bare minimum to get a paycheck. This is general for the industry, not just Porsche.
