Things you need: Jack, 15mm socket and driver, new oil filter, new oil, oil drain pan. Don't forget to dispose your oil at the local auto store.

These engines may also use 5W-30 if desired, and work well with synthetic and synthetic blends (for extended drain intervals). 6 Quarts will bring the dipstick to the "full" mark. On my 04 I use a 15mm 6 point socket to remove the drain plug, but they vary throughout year

Note: 6 quartz is only for the 3.0L V6 Duratec. The Inline4 2.3L Takes 4.5 quartz and the manual recommends 10W oils. The 3.0 actually prefers 5W oils.

The oil should be at the top dot on the dip stick. That means it is full. The lower point on the dip stick means one quart low.

You should get a new washer every oil change. I like a metal o-ring with a rubber insert. Thanks for watching!

How tight does the filter have to be? It doesn't seem like you tightened it all. I'm a female and it took me allot of elbow grease and big shot blaster to get that fucking plug off. Hope I didn't over tighten the filter. 😒😒

I usually do tight as I can with one hand. But the official spec is until tight then 3/4 turn more usually. Thank you so much for watching Monica!

if it is a V6 Engine 3.00 Ltr., it can hold 5.5-507 Liters (with new oil Filter) - read the user book manual if you still have it

next time hammer a cheap screwdriver into the oil filter and pull it out to drain it first so you dont make that horrific mess you just made lol, also you always fill the filter with oil then attach it

Don't like doing that due to the likelihood of the filter being tough to get off and now you have a razor sharp oil covered edge. Also it fills in under a second of starting the engine, what about filters that are mounted upside down? Thanks for watching!

Wouldn't the filter and oil pan drain bolt be in different locations? On say the 3.0 and the 4 cylinder version should said which in the title
