Oil Change Philosophy

I'm with you on the easy to remember 5k oil service! So, ten minutes is darn fast... What is your scheme for tire rotations, air filters, brake inspections? I do tire rotations and brake inspections at the same 5K and air filters at 10k (every other oil maintenance) but from start to finish with tools out and cleanup, I'm at about an hour... Cheers!

Engine air filter & Tire rotations on the Subaru is every 10K. I have 4 jack-stands that make it easier and quicker. With 6 vehicles and a floor jack, I've got it down pat. The MINIs probably every 20K on the tire rotation and even longer for the air filters. All of the cabin air filters happen once a year. Thanks for the question and for watching.

Have been changing the oil in my Altima every 5k consistently. I've been wondering if I should be doing transmission fluid changes sooner than every 30k or if I would just be wasting my time

I have to confess, I have NEVER had the CVT fluid changed on our Forester. I want to have it done, but I don't want to do that job. I do not trust my local dealerships as they (all 3 in our area) told me we needed a new transmission 4 years ago. It turned out to be a bad rear tire. 4 new tires fixed that issue. I will have to find an independent shop to do it. Thanks, but don't just copy me or rely on my information.
