Missed the live show but hey, watching now.... I have oils laying around here but haven't tried them yet. I work in acrylic and watercolor sometimes... Looking forward to this... For me, graying a color is done by adding its compliment.

The Gimenez you were thinking was Juan Gimenez. He was from Argentina but lived in Spain. He died in 2020.

I always recommend my students follow your channel. Btw I had this hunch you were a disciple of Bridgeman bc you draw those great Bridgeman arms on your figures and lo and behold I check the other day and you made a Bridgeman video! The videos on clothes, and faces are beneficial for artists of all skill levels. Great work!

David. I have to tell you this! And I'm sorry about your guest from the Watts school but your painting is way superior to his by a long shot! Your pose has way more power and movement. The others are both stiff and without life. Even with your limited use of the medium, it is comparable almost if not equal to Frazetta. Theirs is more on a level of a posed photograph painting by Boris? That is where the dynamic and exaggerated posing of comic book illustration has an advantage. All's you need now is more time and water based oil paint. I think Frank would agree and later Phil will be kissing your back side. It only feels natural and is fun to you because you are a natural and this is what you were meant to do. Thank you!
