Thank you. The piece is called Draugavals (Waltz for the ghosts). You won't find it anywhere I'm affraid since it's only been published in an Icelandic documentary series a few years ago. I don't think you can find it online 🙂

Hi Elizabeth, yes I paint on oil primed linen which is taped to board. It makes it super easy to crop the image afterwards, and to store it.

Sorry I have few more questions, Did you prime them on your own? How do you frame them? stretch them or mount them on something?

I prefer oil primed surfaces. This one was pre-primed and I usually mount the smaller canvases to board and stretch lager pieces. It´s great to work like this because you can crop the image afterwards if you feel the work needs cropping :)

I was actually planning to try painting on an unstretched canvas. Even the larger pieces, do you paint them unstretched then just stretch them after?

Frábært. Ert snillingur. Ég nota akrílliti, sem ég er að gefast upp á, einkum að mála smátt og er liklega að skipta yfir í olíuliti. En kannski eru það ekki akrýllitirnir, heldur kunnáttuleysi mitt. Ég er á myndlistarnámskeiði. Forréttindi að kaupa heilt námskeið í að mála "robin" fugl hjá þer, takk. Myndirnar þínar eru dásamlegar, ég gæti skrifað heila ritgerð um þær.
