8:59 it happens again. I just checked other videos, the same thing. It still shows very coarse strokes in one frame, and suddenly goes to a super smooth, detailed section of the painting. I am curious to see what happened in between.

Hi Daria, I absolutely love your paintings you have inspired me so much as a artist. I too love using oil paints of my pieces. I have learnt so much from you videos and I hope you know that I appreciate the time you take to create these videos. Thank you ❤️

I guess art is a reflection of what we allow ourselves to see. Eyes in artworks have something special. The face is the mirror of the mind, the eyes of people reflect the desires of their heart. Eyes often times say more then words can. Eyes are very similar to painting in that regard, if you can say it in words there's no need to paint it... Much encouragement from a fellow artist Daria, amazing painting.

Being a mostly a landscape oil painter , I recently wanted to paint a portrait, and watched your video and glad I did. You gave me the colors I will need, and altho I will make mine a little more minimal and abstract, I certainly gained a good deal of knowledge. I love your soft voice and will watch more of your videos.. Thank You

I too adore your videos. Question: Most customers do not care to wait a year to receive their portrait commissions after they are finally ready to be varnished. So, since you don't use any fast dry mediums, when and what do you do when a painting is dry to the touch, so you can restore the original colors and sell your painting? Oiling out? Retouch varnish? ...... I love the mediums you use because you have plenty of wet paint time to change or fix anything that's not perfect that you might notice during the next day or two after painting an area. I really need to solve this problem as soon as possible for commissions I'm working on. Thank you! joyce

Start dark then middle tones. We're always used to going from light to dark but with oils if you do that your paints will get a "milky" tone.
@danielq.43716 жыл бұрын
Do a quick sketch on paper first. Learn how to "sketch" with your brushes.

Put the lighter shade near the darker, then start merging it slightly with the tip of your brush. Then smooth it out with a flat or filbert or small round brush if you are experiment enough.
