I discovered your channel (and oil pastels) recently and I've been enjoying your videos tremendously. This painting turned out beautiful as well. The eyes look very alive. Is this painted on Pastelmat? I'm struggling a little and I think I don't have the right paper (yet). I think I will go through a bunch of your videos and leave comments to feed the KZbin algorithm.

Thanks a lot ❤ I really appreciate it. I use Pastelmat unless I’m simply sketching, then I’ll grab inexpensive printing paper or some drawing pad. For me a smooth sanded paper like Pastelmat is the perfect surface for easy blending, at least the way I do it. It’s a lot harder to achieve that with other papers but maybe there are others that work as well but I haven’t tried.
