i can see how you think that, but you need to remember she already knows all the answers to these questions because this was gone over in detail during the prelim hearing as well as prior to the grand jury. if you were unbiased you would notice the defense does the same thing

What is the purpose of the messurement of inch by inch in space that's less than five feet, get to the point instead of wasting time on Lang; now I can see how they lost this case now Lang looks confused as to why is she asking these questions because now she's just opened up the hole in the prosecutions case about protective clothing and why these cops don't wear them, Lang can't remember touch of anything.!

The purpose of Marcia giving all these measurements, is it's small victories she's winning in a battle nobody's fighting. So in her mind, she's doing things the old way. This guy did it, here's all our evidence, here's the cop and here's the measurements, we have this piece of paper that proves it, blah blah blah. It has 0 to do with who killed her, but Marcia doesn't think it through enough to see that. She thinks if she gets the guy to give facts, it somehow supports her case. They were very heavy on that, and not very heavy on actual evidence (that wasn't well refuted)
