I feel awful for the stepdaughter, how can a father let their own kid be treated like that. The stepmother needs to seriously get a change in personality. As for the first story, I also feel bad for her. I hope in the end the boyfriend decides to support her and let's the family know their actions are wrong

See; My problem with that last story is like... why is the father letting his wife treat his daughter like that? ESPECIALLY since that's not her child. He married that woman and is now just letting her walk all over his daughter??? What sense does that make 💀 Anyways- Hope everyone's either havin a great day or is going to have a great day !!!

Don't you get it, she's his new wife, and he lusts over her so he wants to do whatever he can to keep her. He's probably aware that she's awful but she can please him so he lets her do whatever she wants because he's too blind. I hate people like that, they care more about their new spouse than their children.

@I am me • 25y ago I know it's not for love because if it were then he would love his new wife enough to know when she has gone too far. But it's lust. You know my sister-in-law doesn't like me. Brother doesn't like that his wife doesn't like me. You see he loves his wife enough to call her out. Speaking of stepmom, my sister-in-law is a step to my brother's first child, my nephew, Leo. Now Leo is a troubled kid as he would rather goof off than be responsible and treats everything like a joke. His relationship with his father is rocky but his stepmom does care about him and would not mistreat him because she's his stepmom.

I get that maybe she should have done a favor but the fact that I’m sure if she did make dinner she would still be unwelcome is what’s annoying. Like, I bet the step mom wouldn’t even care and would complain nonetheless. And the fact that now she’s paying for her own money. I would text back ‘are you paying me back?’

That is so true..what a careless person! How can a father have such mindset, it's so immature considering he's a frickin adult. 😐 Out of topic, but it's been three months since I came into college after high school, really stressful actually,, although no one knows about it. I cried recently in my parent teacher meeting, i don't even know why, the teachers weren't even scolding, no one was. I was just so ashamed i guess? Considering the marks I am getting (10/60, 20/300. Wtf??? How did i end up like this?? I used to be an amazing scorer in school. Most of the times a 3rd ranker. A lot happened since lockdown. I can't blame lockdown ig but it's still a crazy story. I was blamed for things i didn't mean. Even now.) Okay I don't want my comment to be tooo deep lol, just wanted to say, no I didn't have a great day, but when you said if I would be having a great day, you gave me hope lmao. Because it's vacation time now due to the Hindu festival, Navratri. I hope I can clear off all topics and study, relax and distress myself althooo honestly speaking idk what I'll be doing today. Story 1: Worse than you told. The bf did not say anything to his family, he advised his family to not let OP know. Either he cuts contact with his racist family or OP needs to cut contact towards him. The latter is a painful decision because otherwise he appears to be a good person, but when OP gets the racist family as well it likely is a big bullet dodged. Story 2: Some parents that either had a messy divorce or are single parents for a long time "would do anything for love" including letting the new partner treat the own children like unwanted trash. Pseudo-justification "It's not so bad!" and "S/He wants his/her own legacy to continue".

My ex's family was like that. They're all black and I'm Asian. I'm mixed so I'm blond with fair skin and stretched eyes. I wanted to meet them but they clearly showed me they didn't want to have me or have anything to do with me. I did meet them and it was terrible. One of the little sisters wanted to braid my hair so I let her and the mom kind of grunted at me but didn't say anything. My ex thought it was cute and took a picture. That was the worse because my then mil blew up at me saying I was trying to turn her children against and that a white washed half breed like me would never be good enough for her son. The dad tried to hit my ex to make him delete the photo but he fought back and we left. I had never felt this bad with a family before especially since this happened in front of my ex's 10 siblings who were all kids and 2 of them were teens. There were 3 babies and they were crying. I couldn't believe the scene that had unfolded before my eyes and it took me several days to be normal around him again

Oh my god I'm so sorry. That's honestly embarrassing. I'm embarrassed for your ex. Like that's the most olden days, racist thing I've ever heard. "Half breed"?? What are you a dog? You deserve so much better, and good on him for leaving with you. I don't know what happened or why he's your ex now, but at least he was still descent enough to know that his family is racist and disappointing. I'm black, and it's the most disappointing thing for me to hear other black people be racist against other people. Like you know what that feels like and what it dose to a person. And you know how senseless it is. Why would you do it, or let yourself feel and think those things? And the fact that they did it in front of the kids? Like those kids are gonna be traumatized and see their parents differently. I hope you're doing better now. Have a good life. I wish you the best 💕

Honestly what (in the first story) the OP said was true. If you make the world see you as someone who's careless about the things people say, it somehow makes them think of you differently. I am and I know people who are snappy and replies to every comment about them. They don't make it seem like it matters. I do that personally because I feel like people would think less of me if I do care. I'm sensitive, but people act as if being sensitive is like having a disease. It's not weird. It's fine to cry. So some people care more, but when they do talk about it they get dismissed, "It's not a big deal" "You're dramatic" "Stop being a baby", honestly most people don't know you, so when they say things like this it really makes you reflect on everything. You aren't in the wrong.

I still don’t get why people marry someone who has kids, and then hates the kids because they aren’t their children? How about NOT marrying someone with kids already? I know it’s gets harder to avoid this when you get older, but seriously, the kids didn’t ask to be born before you started dating their dad/mum. I’ve seen this first hand and it’s just a horrible attitude to have. It shows massive insecurity red flags to me from the step parent.

0:05: It's abundantly clear her BF's family is prejudiced, as confirmed by her friends. Hope she kicked her BF to the curb and has no association with his family. 8:11: Shame on the father for not sticking up for his daughter. Unfortunately, she's only sixteen years old, so, between her father and her mother, she's stuck between a rock and a hard place. Doesn't sound like either parent is on her side. Hopefully she can bide her time until her eighteenth birthday, when she can find somplace else to stay.

I love how Kyutie gives such insightful reactions and advice even if it is just common sense! At least in my opinion she always takes the side of the person who was wrongly offended or had no right to be shamed, discriminated against, etc. based on logic, and often unbiased judgements of character and personalities, especially with a large regard to basic human decency and fair treatment and equality in society. I also love how deep and understanding her responses are, like how she sometimes even offers a solution or different method of approach to diffuse tension or resolve conflict in heated situations and arguments.

And OP should think seriously about what marrying into that crap family would entail. I believe her BF is kowtowing to their racism because of the family wealth. I love how strong and direct OP is being! Her BF needs to think long and hard if he wants to continue this path for not only the sake of the relationship but for the sake of being the person he wants to be. And SIL totally deserved to have her honeymoon wrecked because her true character was revealed.

1st Story: The family of OP's boyfriend is racist. OP has been edited out of photos by multiple family members of her boyfriend (his sister & his uncle). OP exposed her boyfriend's sister for being a racist. The sister in law needs to apologize to OP. OP should dump her boyfriend if she hasn't already. 2nd Story: Both the dad and step mom are terrible people/in the wrong. The dad should've defended/sided with his daughter. The step mom told the girl that she had to buy and cook her own food (including all ingredients) because she (the girl) isn't her (the step mom's) "problem to deal with." The girl isn't in the wrong. It's not her responsibility to cook for anyone. The step mom has no right to tell the girl to cook and/or buy food for multiple people or just one person. The reason is that she makes the girl buy and cook her own food.

If Dad and step-mom can't treat OP with respect under normal circumstances, why expect that she will go out of her way to help them on call? I had a step mom a few years ago just like the poor girl in the second story. Me and my older sister would overhear my dad and step mom arguing because my step mom would say how we're both spoiled teens, mooching off him, lazy slobs, etc. She didn't want anything to do with us but would pretend to like us for my dad. My older sister even told me one time while they all went out (I stayed home doing homework) that when my dad was away she overheard my step mom, under her breath, call my disabled younger sister ugly insults. It still makes my blood boil thinking about it. I absolutely would've told that b***h off and 100% would've caused a scene. My dad had to kick her out of the house several times but man I hated how he'd go crawling back to her the next day everytime, telling us how "you're too young to understand relationships, when you're old like me you have to keep anyone you can find, theres no one else". For a long time our house was such a toxic environment until she finally left for good after the divorce. Parents, please better defend your kids. Step Parents will always be that, Step. Even if they were your real parents it wouldn't make it any better to treat any kid with such disrespect. I struggle with finding/keeping love too but best believe I'd drop the person on the spot if they disrespected my kids. Being single is so much better than a toxic relationship any day no matter how lonely it gets. But god I wish I would've told her off...

I think my aunt (my late uncle's wife) has always reduced my familys' pics in my cousins' wedding movies in the past. Maybe she just wanted her own brothers etc to get more screentime, it's annoying but my parents ignored it, we just went for my uncle's sake who had been ill and bedridden most of his life. This was before we all had our own cellphones and cameras and had to ask them for photos. It's one thing to tell the cameraman whom to focus on more, but I can't even imagine the hurt and insult of actually being photoshopped out of family photos because of one's colour. I'm sure they will keep doing it and they will 100% photoshop the children too!

Story 1: Man, I could write a whole essay on this. "I'm not racist! My [relative by marriage] is [different race]!" 🙄🙄 Sweetie, your BF and his family have shown you who they are. You say you ignore most of the microaggressions, but you are also human and contrary to popular belief, you do NOT have to "just take it" because you are worth MORE than that. Also contrary to popular belief, having children by a lighter-skinned person doesn't automatically mean they'll be lighter-skinned. What would you do if you found out that your in-laws were favoring the lighter children over the darker ones? I could go on...but why? Girl, RUN. Story 2: Cinderella, anyone? The evil stepmother trope is one that's based in reality. I'd be curious to know if there's a significant difference in age/looks between Dad and his new wife. Beyond that...sweetie, you've got two years to save up as much as you can and get your affairs in order so that you can BOUNCE on your 18th birthday. It sucks that you have sucky parents, but there are plenty of folks out here who can relate...
@ichigoanime4593

#1: You can't say you're kind and see all people as equals when you don't stand up for people that look different from you when it counts. Just because you can appear nice to people for a short period of time doesn't mean you're actually nice. The boyfriend's family is racist. Period. He's in denial and is someone that doesn't like confrontation. He'd rather keep the peace instead of protecting his girlfriend. Just because their family doesn't mean it's fine to ignore their ignorant and toxic behavior. I don't believe him when he says he'd stand up for their kids when he had the chance on multiple occasions to do so for the girlfriend but didn't. Is he only standing up for them because they'll be blood-related? Smh. Honestly, if he can't answer all those honestly to her face and actively make changes, they should lean towards breaking up. #2: The dad is in his own world to not notice the bad relationship between his daughter and new wife. When someone is making it obvious they don't like you and also makes no effort to improve the relationship as time goes on, you don't need to be the bigger person and try to get on their good side. It's a wasted effort. It's less stressful to just accept nothing will change as the OP did.

In the 1st story the boyfriend is just as racist as his trashy family is, he’s just passive about it while his uncle and sister are active, so OP should just dump them all into the trash where they belong. As for the 2nd story that poor OP needs a secret bank account that non of the so called “parents” can know about or get into so she has that money when the evil stepmother decides to kick her out, because as has already been shown her “dad” won’t stand up for her or protect her from his new wife.

My ex’s mum hated me. I get good grades, I’m tee total and I genuinely loved her son. I asked why she hated me and got told bc I’m a white cripple. I told her ex husband she was racist and ableist and he agreed but said that she thought racism was strictly white perpetrators. She harassed me every time she got her hands on my ex’s phone and now wants me to help him with money problems.

First story: Sister-in-law is a real “female dog”. Cut contact. The rest of the family sounds like a bunch of winners, too. This lady needs to think very carefully about her future with this man and his family. Second story: Father needs to step up for his daughter. Sounds like stepmother wants the daughter to be a servant.

for the last story I would cook for the kids as they have done absolutely nothing but as they eat if the stepmom decides to get some food id tell her she can't and it's not my problem she did not cook for herself. op did nothing wrong , her dad and stepmom are the demons here

Why should the first OP apologize when she was the one insulted? And why isn't her gutless boyfriend standing up for her? Is she really thinking of having children with this man? I urge her not to, and start packing her things to go. The mother's remark about ruining her daughter's wedding was out of line too, as well as the snooty uncle who had her photoshopped out of his pictures. Sounds like his niece takes after him. Please, honey, find a new boyfriend who respects you enough to defend you when you're insulted, even by his own family.

Another Wicked Stepmother. Those fairytales had a point. The bio parent in these terrible situations are horrible people for putting their child/ren through such awfulness. They are fundamentally selfish, self centred horrors. It's one of the signs of narcissistic behaviour allowing someone to abuse your kids. I hope this girl finds a way to leave home soon.

For the first story, tbh, I think that the girl should just leave her bf and move on from the racist family. For what has been happening to her, it is unforgiveable to stay with her bf who can't even stand up for her. A milion red flags.

Story1 - This is colour-discrimination n racism, sister-in-law is clearly in the wrong. The girl did her a favour recommended the photographer n this the thanks she gets. S-I-L, all of the sister-in-law side of the family r racist n now their lil secret is out n the world is judgin em they can't handle it. If SIL had a problem w/ the way she looked she could have just honest n told her or just nt invite her or just sorted it out in private. The fact SIL friends ratted her out just proves she a bad person. We live in multiple national society nw, people of different races n cultures have n r mixin in family n it is unexcusable 2 behave like th@ anymore. Prejudice n Bigotry r the biggest cause of war, conflict n death both in the past n present. The Bf knows this n knew all about w@ his family was doin n still would nt stand up 2 em 2 defence his gf, just shows his a coward n a pushover. Girl I think u should break up w/ him if he is willin 2 tolerate this n nt stand by u when they in the wrong then his nt the right man 4 u. U have more then enough evidence 2 report SIL n her family 2 the police or file a lawsuit against em if it ruin ur relationships w/ so b it. U deserve better than this, no-one should put up w/ this treatment. Story2- is the dad blind or completely in the dark about this whole situation? His new wife is practically bullyin his daughter n he either doesn't no or doesn't care. I thought when u get remarried u ensure th@ ur new spouse gets along w/ ur children from another marriage or @ least u should. The daughter is bein treated like dirt, while it was terrible w@ happened 2 her sister, but it really is her responsibility 2 cook n look after some1 else children especially if she gets no thanks or gratitude 4 it, the daughter has got enough 2 worry about bein 16, bein treated unfairly by her family n havin 2 buy n cook her own. The step-mum could easily have organised something, don't dish out w@ u can't take bk. N the dad needs 2 realizes th@ n get his priorities straight b4 he destroys his relationship w/ his daughter, she choose 2 live w/ him a reason. Don't do something ur regret later.

For the first story… I mean I can sort of see why the SIL would be embarrassed by the instagram post because anyone you both know can see what you put on your account and either stand with or go against her (the SIL). OP slightly crossed the line here but SIL was 2000% in the wrong for talking bullcrap behind her back

Nah, bigotry deserves to be exposed. She was racist, and was exposed as one. Simple as that and anyone is free to ditch her or continue talking to her knowing that fact- We'll just know what kind of person you are based on which one you'll pick.

@@sadhourstwentyfourseven9578 I’m definitely on OP’s side, that’s for sure. I’m only saying OP crossed the line a tad bit by posting the conversation online, as it’s a personal issue. But SIL should not have interfered and just allowed her brother to love whoever he’s with, and if she really wants to cut contact with OP and her family then that’s on her, she’s welcome to do so if she wants, or just live with it and keep her thoughts to herself (though that would probably be hard because she’s so vocal about it). If OP’s boyfriend doesn’t say anything supporting her, then they should break up because several people in BF and SIL’s family don’t seem to care about OP’s feelings

Story 1: Def NOT the a-hole, wholly crap... that's just... wow... the bf better think hard about this. Story 2: NTA, especially since the stepmom was being a hypocrite and asking OP to cook her something when she doesn't cook anything for her. The dad... oml, def the a-hole for not defending his daughter.

I bet the thumbnail is secretly implying that the sister-in-law is jealous of her beauty. She claimed that she's not racist nor is her family, so I'm starting to theorize that she's jealous of someone with Middle Eastern genetics out shining her on her wedding day.

Sorry, but how is this a "women who had the audacity" story, if 1/3 is about a shitty boyfriend and his even worse family and 1/3 is about a shitty dad and the equally shitty stepmom? I know the stories started with a woman but heck, this pretty much reflects worse on men then women. So much for the perceived fairness of making a video each. Smh
