Planning to take psychology when I reach college. I don't know why but I really love learning about mental disorders and more on about people, since I always try to observe human behavior then I conclude and some of my calculations would come out right. Naalala ko tuloy sa EAPP subject namin pinagawa kami ng position paper, at binigay saken na topic is "dreams are repressed wishes" at dun ko nakilala si Sigmund Freud. Ang pag kakaintindi ko if gusto mong mag work in counseling, go for AB Psych, or you want to do a job related to social work. Kaya lang dito sa Pinas, di ko alam if meron bang work na focus on behavior, like yung mental health counselor na focus in certain areas like alcoholism, abuse, etc. If you're interested in med, go for BS

Hi! Just would like to share my experience. I'm a BA Psychology major. Actually, mayroon kaming sciences. Perhaps, depende sa university or college na papasukan mo. In BS Psych, yes, maraming sciences. Like, naka set mostly yung subjects mo sa sciences. In BA (Bachelor of Arts) Psych naman, you actually have the freedom to take hard sciences or social sciences. Therefore, if you chose BA Psych, hindi lang limited yung future profession mo sa human resources. You can still work in hospitals or use your degree as a pre-med course. :) Nag BA Psych ako kasi I love to work more on research. Gusto ko mag masters in I/O Psychology before so I planned to take more social sciences na subjects. Pero since I changed my mind, haha, and gusto ko na mag Clinical Psych, I am going to take more sciences na or at least subjects na makakatulong sa gusto kong profession na ito. Some of my BS Psych friends wanted to shift to BA kasi mas may freedom nga. Yun lang. Good luck!

@@jaro7692 hi! Sorry now ko lang nabasa. May math both BA and BS sa Psych. Statistics siya. Hindi naman siya ganoon kahirap. Math siya in a fun way kasi makikita mo talaga applications niya. Unlike diba sa mga nakasanayan natin sa high school, yung iba, pure logic talaga. But for stats, kitang kita yung application in real life such as in research.

Actually yes I think shs strands are just for you to explore what you want and where you want to be in college. As for my experience I am an ABM student because I was undecided during my jhs days and now I will take a course under medical field which is not really aligned in my strand. So it is really up to you.

Hi! BS/AB psych are much or less the same. The only difference is that BS Psych has additional natural sciences subjects while AB Psych has more humanities and social sciences. They have the same major subjects.

Now, If you want to take up law, you can take AB Psych or BS Psych as your pre law course. When we say pre law course, It is an undergrad course so basically you cannot enter or study law without having an undergrad/bachelors degree.

To collate everything, AB and BS psych are good courses. There's no comparison on which of the two is the best, just choose what's best for you.
