Oh also (Extra comment) Incase you missed it the Xylophone melody in "Its raining somewhere else" is a slowed down/rearranged ver of the previous song you listen to "sans". Funny how this happened by complete chance 😅 The composer of Undertale Toby Fox loves to use motifs in his work and this is a little taste of that. You'll find familiar melodys throughout the ost and its super cool to pic them out and have "Hey! I remember that!" moments

i kind of find it meaningful how you chose to listen to it's raining somewhere else right after sans. that one's my favorite soundtrack in the game, i'd like to see your reaction to the scene in game

The piano is my favorite instrument in music, ESPECIALLY when it comes to chill, sad and/or melancholic songs. The combination with the vibraphone (an instrument similar to the xylophone) in "It's Raining Somewhere Else" makes it easily my favorite song in the game. As for that part where you say you don't know anything about this game, Undertale is a retro-style, turn-based RPG in which you have to manually move around to avoid enemy attacks. Your own attacks are timed too. As such, it's more involved than your average oldschool turn-based RPG. It's primarily touted as an RPG in which you don't have to kill any enemy, but the choice of killing vs not killing is yours (and it affects the story). It has a very vocal fanbase and it's not recommended as a game to stream or make videos of (unless you avoid the comment section entirely) because a lot of the fans will demand you play their way and/or constantly spoil things. It is a game worth playing if you like quirky humor and aren't afraid of letting a game emotionally get to you on a more "meta" level.

I love love love Undertale so much, and I know there are so many people who love seeing people experience the game for the first time, so I would highly recommend doing a lets play of it! It's best to go in blind but the one thing I always like to let new people know is one of the games tag lines: "an RPG where no one has to die!" It was all pretty much entirely created by one guy named Toby Fox. He made his come up with his work on Homestuck before really hitting it big with this game, where he made EVERYTHING with some help from another person called Temmie, who did some of the character designs and whatnot. Right now he's working on Deltarune which is sort of a pseudo-sequel to Undertale. One of Undertales characters, Sans, did indeed *kinda* make it into Smash, via a DLC Mii Gunner costume you can buy! The DLC also included a remix of Megalovania (Sans' battle theme) rearranged by Toby. Toby Fox has also been doing work with the Pokemon series lately. He's good friends with the developers, and they let him create a song for Pokemon Sword and Shield, and then later in Scarlet and Violet they let him compose the main overarching musical motif that's used throughout most of the games music. It's a really cute collab considering Pokemon was a partial inspiration for Undertale, altho it's worth pointing out that the REAL huge inspiration for Undertale is Earthbound, aka the game that Ness and Lucas* in Smash are from. Toby Foxes musical talents are probably the thing ppl most focus on for good reason, he caused a revolution in the way that videogame music is done which is really cool, and I love the impact he's had on Pokemon in particular. In the newest Pokemon games stories you can really feel them leaning into the quirky style of storytelling and character writing that Toby popularized in Undertale.
