I can explain why Barto said "Even children know you can make barrier by crossing fingers". I am not sure about UK, but in many countries, especially in Asia when children play "Chasing" I don't know how it's called in English, it's when you trying to catch someone, and when you touched him, he's now the one who should chase others. And when you crossing fingers, you are in a block, and no one can catch you, you can use it only one time until someone cathes you, and then in the next round you will have barrier againt. That's why Barto said that. I hope I explained it clearly, my english is trash when it comes to grammar

These small things about the differences in growing up in these cultures are why I started watching random slice of life anime. Just all these little inside jokes that are unique to japanese culture, I fucking love them. And it's lost in translation at first, but so much fun each one you uncover. Personalities often match powers in fiction. Usually, someone with shield powers tend to be really kind and protective of others - think Sue Storm or Steven Universe. And here's Bartolomeo, who's an asshole that picks fights and is provocative. And it still fits with his shield power, because he uses it to shield himself so that he can be as unlikable as he wants without fear of repercussions. He is, essentially, an Internet troll.

so the behind story about barrier, is some old folk story around asia (ig) that if you make promises or someone make you a making a promise, but you need to cross your finger like bartolomeo did, so the promise is not apply to you or the person making the promised, like example, kelvin making bartolomeo promised him to buy him food next week, but then barto answered "okay but.." then showed kelvin (or not) the finger cross that making a barrier for the promise it would be happen or not.. anyway its something like that..

Even if you were up to date (well, I'm not 100% sure about the anime) Ace was worth 550 million. Likewise, Don Chinjao's exact number was revealed elsewhere: 542 million. But yes, in-story this this was the highest mentioned bounty so far (I think the previous was Kid's 470 million), and you gotta love it how casually it was dropped for pretty much just another rando. And obviously we've already met several people with higher numbers, but the really big reveals are still pretty far away.

I forgot to say this in the last reaction but it honestly makes me sad that you guys weren't willing to really believe or think better of Bellamy after seeing his return. Just like Luffy i actually believed that he had changed and that him saying "I'm done picking on you" meant something more profound then merely "Because I'm going after someone else". He lost his *crew* whom he clearly cared for for crying out loud! Its very clear he's been through a lot and i can see why Luffy wants to root for him. He's like an entirely new person!
