I think it’s very important to admit the moments where we affected other people negatively. So thank you for admitting that you weren’t the greatest person to hang out with during finals. I think in this day and age, we tend to really focus on helping our selves rather than looking at how we effect or treat others.

How many times have you moved since you started making videos on KZbin? You mention about buying a house. That is such a fun process. I had to move out of California to afford a house. Portland houses are so expensive. If you had a good opportunity as a RN in another state would you consider a relocation?

Finding a full time days job as a 1st time RN historically is very difficult. Most people in healthcare start off evenings/overnight for their entry level jobs. However, with the pandemic and staffing shortages you may actually be able to step into a day shift role somewhere. Just keep applying and looking. You also do NOT have to start off in Med Surg. That is a lie they will tell you lol. I am not an RN but I do work in healthcare and have friends who are. Use clinicals to learn, grow, and find what area of nursing you are passionate about. Then apply everywhere you can for those roles.

You actually like nursing school!? I'm 24, in my 3rd year of med school and completely hate it. 3rd year was not what I expected, and it absolutely sucked. On medicine you’re nothing but a social worker; on surgery you’re just a retractor and punching bag; on OB you’re simply there to watch the residents deliver babies; and so on. I expected 3rd year to be so much more hands on, but instead you didn’t get to do anything real yet had to still stay there ridiculous hours. I had 2 rotations where I actually got to do the kind of stuff med students should be doing, and both of them were elective rotations. The bumbling bureaucracy medicine has become, where we have an administrator for the administrator of administrators, has led to complete and utter ruination or clinical curriculum for medical students. Instead of being part of the team, we feel like a nuisance, there to be seen and not heard, and to make sure our number 1 goal is to not get in the way of the overworked residents. If there’s any one thing I could change about medicine, it would be to fire 95% of these completely worthless administrators. Sorry for the rant
@KiaraMadisen2 жыл бұрын
Never apologize for the rant! It feels good to get it out of your system and you bring up some important points! This is kinda why I thought med school was not for me....I feel like it differs from nursing school in the sense that you live breath sleep med school, so when you're stuck in this less than ideal learning environment, it's extremely frustrating. I hope you can find an activity that brings you some joy or a professor that is a good mentor to you and can allow you to learn what you really want while in school. Thinking of you ❤️

How'd you even find time to date? I can understand a casual hookup here and there, but a serious long term relationship consumes way too much time. Edit: Just noticed you're the same age as me
