Goblin Warrens combo doesn't work because the activation requires red mana and the tokens only produce green. Plenty of other infinites though!

He is missing a step, but you can make it infinite with just a mana filter of some kind. But even with mana rocks only tapping for G, you can still go pretty by only using the R for that cost and the G for the 2, letting you essentially do it once per Mountain you have.

@@voidangel6973 right…which is also way off. Adding treasures that tap for mana equal to your land count is way less than doubling your mana every turn. Those words mean basically a free doubling cube that works like an empowered autogenerator. So say you have 5 lands a sol ring and a birds of paradise plus bootleg and this and make your land drops instead of 8,9,10,11 you get 8,13,19,26 which you said is just like 16, 36,80,176 and you are already talking about a several card combo with a 20 dollar high mana card that isn’t going infinite.

Idk what kind of backgrounds there are for it, but I feel white would be a good pair for this in casual play. Selesnya makes an absurd amount of creature tokens and white can benefit from all the 1/1s you’re making. Regardless you can make this overpowered with any color combo

As a big fan of the Baldur's Gate games of the past, I'm really happy to see such a cool take on one of its support characters, and she's pretty powerful here, too be sure! I'm actually sort of happy you went Gruul, because my first bet was going to be Simic; Simic does catch a lot of flak here for "just ramping and drawing cards", but a color set that can ramp so well, and then also add the shenanigans Blue offers, even though Blue is sort of bad at ramp, could be fearsome. Regardless, R/G was a nice alternative focus, and can also do some really cool things!

It seems like between cards like these and all the treasures, the goal is to completely warp the power level of commander. Even more casual players will accidentally go crazy. Why does wizards want to create a situation where people will clammer for bans in EDH? They've really let the genie out of the bottle with all of the treasure cards because the multitude of obnoxious cards makes it harder to tackle without making an errata on what a treasure is.

I made a comment about the collective power level of the format, especially with regard to treasures. IMO, something like Paradox engine should not be banned at this point as it's very similar power to having all of the treasure generation.

Not in a pure green. Split mana counts as both kinds for color identity purposes, IIRC. But otherwise, yeah, this could easily go in Jennifer's 99. And she can be _cast_ for pure-Green, so there's that.

Sorry to call you out Eddie, but goblin Warren's isn't an infinite. The tokens tap to make green, and goblin Warren's needs red, so you would need some filter like Chromatic orrery or prismite

Street Urchin will be good only if you already have a token-making engine, and if you already have it, you can win by many ways. I will start from the color I need. I'd prefer White, because I want all the wonderful Treasure-making cards like Smothering Tithe, Smuggler's Share and Monologue Tax and Enlightened Tutor/Sterling Grove. WG has wonderful cards to support the theme like Mirari's Wake and Battle for Bretagard. And the theme is casting huge spells, of course! Unfurtunately, none of the White Backgrounds is very good for this theme, but I'd choose Noble Heritage. You may not need these +1/+1 counters much, but you really need peace for a couple of turns :) Black is also very good in creating tokens (the famous Aristocrat theme), but not that good in creating Treasures, though it has Revel in Riches. Agent of the Iron Throne would be the best Background for this deck.

They're both the same color with the same effect of giving you more green mana based on the amount of a permanent on your field you have. Rofellos is 1 mana cheaper and the mana source he boosts is harder to get rid of but he wants you to play basic Forests and forces you into a mono color commander deck. His greatest strength is his consistency gives him a high floor. Jaheira let's you use a second color of your choice and is WAY more explosive. Rofellos doubles your mana but Jaheira can make it so playing cards keeps just adding to your mana instead of losing it. The way she gets mana also doesnt limit the lands you use and is open ended deck building wise as there are a million different kinds of tokens. So while Rofellos gives you more safety Jaheira gives you more options and explosive plays. Not straight up saying either is better but the point is they're absolutely comparable and each have their strengths.

A white background that creates tokens would work well too, lots of token creation in white. If you go blue,Feywild Visitator isn't bad, given it gives you Faerie Dragon Tokens. For red I actually perfer Guild Artisan which creates tokens personally.
