Posting when you did shows you were already, "Really thinking about what might be in this track," and it honetly looks to me like you did some looking in to the history. That's a show of respect for 1st Nations People. I'll "ditto" the thanks for handling this piece of work, "Life of a Native" with a good heart. Bravo - and - encore? I'd think it'd be really cool for you to do a few more on Modern Indian music about a history that's remained entirely un-known to most INDIGINOUS people themselves. I think it was Joseph M Marshall III, or maybe it was Russell Means in his last talk that Alex Jones hosted, just stepping aside and letting Russell have to floor, to drop about an hour of straight truth. In any case, that statement was, "It's prety sad when Native People have to buy a book in order to find out anything about their own culture. When I went to Elementary School, we had a prt of the year that, for a week or two, we had a "Colonial History Study." The fact that my Mom (RIP) was NDN, and so am I - was - "sort of a problem." In the end it was fine, becausr the adults fixed it all by letting me know that, I'd always be the one to "take one for the team" and that "surrender is joining the winning team." "Reservations" are really numbered "Prisoner of War Camps." They also keep getting smaller and smaller, because more and more of THAT land - the internment camp NDN people "we allowed" keeps getting stolen. I have a song I'd love you to check - but let me find it and add a comment lir today. Nice job on this one. Stay humble, and stay true.

I sing and dance because my ancestors weren't allowed to. I observe the Old Ways because my forebears were killed for it. I smudge because it purifies me. I let my voice rise with the smoke of four Sacred Herbs and the Four Winds. I walk in the footprints of my Ancestors despite being mocked by some and praised by others. I understand my way is not the way of others. I do not beg for others to see the river of blood because through the marvel of the internet it can be seen for itself. To VERY loosely paraphrase John Leguizamo "We have endured the worst ass-kicking history can recollect." But still I stand. Brown, Black, Yellow or White, I stand for the people and fight for the change that needs to come to The People. I am of two bloodlines that has endured some of the most comprehensive ethnic cleansings the world has records of. I am Native American and Nahua Azteca. I understand what it is like to grow up with a horribly stunted idea of who you are as a person. But understand that I do my best to uplift my fellow human. Regardless of their ethnicity. Why? Because little by little we are losing our sense of selves. This is not right, it has never been right. I wish, WISH I had a better understanding of my Aztec side. The best I can do is my Abuela whose bloodline can be traced directly back to the shadows of the Aztec ruins in which she, my father and my uncles grew up in. But it is theory and conjecture. I know precious little of that side of my lineage, short of the stories that were told by her.

One of the realist songs on KZbin for our ingenious people in North America and Okema is from Canada but we are aware of treatment in America on our broken treaties in the so called "country of dreams" . But thanks for the reaction brother brown and black stand up and rise above the racism. Hiy hiy

The heaviest part of the video that he didn't touch on was seeing the children dancing in full regalia. 100 years ago children were abused physically and sexually, and murdered for doing anything that respected their culture, so now children dancing is a sign of the resilience of the people.

It hurts my heart that I don't know anything of my culture, who my ancestors were, or the thought I don't know my language, I'm Plains Cree/ Woodland Cree, but I dont know how to speak it, but this summer I'll be asking my mom to teach me. Thanks so much for understanding how much we've been through. by the way, you should check out some Pow Wows, the drums are supposed to inmate the sound of a heart beat, and bring you back to a place of peace, of when you were at the purest stage in life.
