OKC is weird compared to a lot of the other cities you've filmed because it never had a dense downtown / urban area. It's a huge geographic area but nowhere near as dense as other major cities. @@imaglacierboy9621 Dallas, TX is not a high density city. However, I will use Dallas as a comparison in population density to OKC. Dallas has 340 square miles of land. OKC has 606 square miles of land. The population of Dallas is 1.35M. The population of OKC is 660k. The population density of Dallas is 3,970 people per square mile. The population density of OKC is 1089 people per square mile. OKC even has only 1/3 the population density of Omaha, NE. In fact, OKC is has the lowest population density of any US city with a population of over 500k. I have been to OKC multiple times. The only areas of OKC that has even the slightest of urban "feel" is downtown/Bricktown. Even the, only some of the time. The older interior of the city has a suburban feel and outside of that, the density is so low that it feels much more rural than even suburban.

@@crazeyjoe A lot of OKC's land is literally wilderness. All that wooded forest on Turner Turnpike towards Tulsa MILES out of the OKC is city limits. Those density numbers you have are misleading. And Dallas is just an overcrowded version of OKC anyway. Nothing special at all.

The area around the Paris Flea Market, SW 29th west of I44, The WHOLE area south of the river along I35, ANYTHING by the capital (besides Lincoln Terrace.) And yeah, the Highlands are dangerous too. Lots of impoverished areas around OKC. And lets not even get started with Del City/Midwest City. One big SLUM.

i see a lot of Charlies videos and in every comment section its someone saying this and that dont look like a hood because of housing structure. im just say its a difference between a hood and a slum area! the slums look a way but that dont has to mean that where people hang or where it go down at! its just an tore down area of particular city or town. the hood is where its lit at no matter what the housing structure look! when i use to hit the road to do my thing, i use to hit little town and be like dam i aint know this little bih get it cracking like this!! if you in or been in the game you know what i mean! miamiPhillyconnect! facts!

Exactly, most of the people commenting probably from the suburbs. Those area in this video are projects. I know a hood when I see one. I’m from Dc and the projects out here is shape the same as the one in this video just more run down. Any area that has projects and/or high crime is the hood.

You drove around one trap section 8 apartment and that was it. That's not the hood. Like others mentioned, 10th and Rockwell/MacArthur/Meridian (all a three mile distance) is closer to "the hood" or even off NE 23rd area. This isn't so much it, speaking from a Native Okie.

You forgot lyrewood. Lol. I lived there for 4 yrs. I moved from the country to the city and ended up there without knowing it was a bad area and when I told people that's where I lived they'd tell me it's a bad area. I never had any problems. Besides my neighbor was crazy towards his old lady and gun shots often. And my house was right behind lyrewood lounge so I heard alot of drunk people being loud. But I had a creek and alot of trees in my backyard, so it was a little country in the city for me.

I used to do deliveries for a website. Had a co-worker who came from a BAD neighborhood in South Philly. He was asked to do a delivery to the south side of Fort Worth. He came back and told me "NEVER again!" It brought back bad memories for him and he was truly frightened. And this was unnerving to me as he sounded very stable for a guy who grew up poor in South Philly. I live north of Dallas and I simply do not drive to the southern part of Fort Worth. It's that dangerous. Don't listen to the locals who claim I'm exaggerating. They're probably buddies of the dirtbags who are responsible for so much of the crime and violence going on down there.

Oklahoma might look boring but that’s a real hood right there. Just because a area is dirty doesn’t mean it’s more hood😂 it’s all about the crime and the area

The Court's and Ker Village in the 90's were definitely over the top. OSHA and OCPD shut Ker Village down to a crawl couple decades ago and reigned a lot of crap going on in the Court's about 10 years ago. These places are quiet now by comparison to what they use to be back in their worst days
