OKC is weird compared to a lot of the other cities you've filmed because it never had a dense downtown / urban area. It's a huge geographic area but nowhere near as dense as other major cities. Also as you can see in the video you don't find a lot of neighborhoods full of garbage and abandoned cars and urban decay like in Detroit or Philly or wherever.

@@imaglacierboy9621 Dallas, TX is not a high density city. However, I will use Dallas as a comparison in population density to OKC. Dallas has 340 square miles of land. OKC has 606 square miles of land. The population of Dallas is 1.35M. The population of OKC is 660k. The population density of Dallas is 3,970 people per square mile. The population density of OKC is 1089 people per square mile. OKC even has only 1/3 the population density of Omaha, NE. In fact, OKC is has the lowest population density of any US city with a population of over 500k. I have been to OKC multiple times. The only areas of OKC that has even the slightest of urban "feel" is downtown/Bricktown. Even the, only some of the time. The older interior of the city has a suburban feel and outside of that, the density is so low that it feels much more rural than even suburban.
@rtoma1974
@rtoma1974 3 жыл бұрын
@@crazeyjoe A lot of OKC's land is literally wilderness. All that wooded forest on Turner Turnpike towards Tulsa MILES out of the OKC is city limits. Those density numbers you have are misleading. And Dallas is just an overcrowded version of OKC anyway. Nothing special at all.

Bro none of these is even the hood like that. You hit somewhere on the SW but thats just poor/lowermiddleclass area theres guns and drugs sure but barely violence, more like the occasional break in, nothing like the hoods i lived in growin up like Little mexico, Murda 1, Panic Zone, even Mayridge, Capital hill, Heronville/Rancho Village(sw 59th/44th and penn/western) more shit goes down. I moved around a lot as a kid an trouble seemed to follow me the police were always at my moms door for her, her "friends" or for me. Im 21 and even 89th and may got more dangerous than that area when i was a kid 😂 now i live off north west 23rd and classen area and besides the tweaker on tweaker violence me and my boys seem to be the most dangerous around just handling personal business and even this place is harder than those areas you showed. Shouldve hit dungee, lyrewood, se 15th and central, or literally anywhere ive already mentioned. I guess murda 1 is technically in mwc but fr you missed out hella bad.

I moved from the country to the city and ended up there without knowing it was a bad area and when I told people that's where I lived they'd tell me it's a bad area. I never had any problems. Besides my neighbor was crazy towards his old lady and gun shots often. And my house was right behind lyrewood lounge so I heard alot of drunk people being loud. But I had a creek and alot of trees in my backyard, so it was a little country in the city for me.

I used to do deliveries for a website. Had a co-worker who came from a BAD neighborhood in South Philly. He was asked to do a delivery to the south side of Fort Worth. He came back and told me "NEVER again!" It brought back bad memories for him and he was truly frightened. And this was unnerving to me as he sounded very stable for a guy who grew up poor in South Philly. I live north of Dallas and I simply do not drive to the southern part of Fort Worth. It's that dangerous. Don't listen to the locals who claim I'm exaggerating. They're probably buddies of the dirtbags who are responsible for so much of the crime and violence going on down there.
