Enjoying your adventures! We cruised the AICW for 5 years from the Chesapeake to the Keys on our 43’Tradewinds and became good friends who also owned a 41’ DeFever named ‘Christmas’. Wonder if it’s the same boat as your buddy boat? Safe cruising.

@@jimfisher4082 - Thanks for watching !! I don’t know if their boat used to have different name so I don’t know but anything is possible! 😉 I bet you have some good stories to tell from your adventures on the ICW.

@@CruisingThisOldBoat We put about 20,000 NM and 2,000 engine hours on her over that time. BTW, I’m a past Director and President (2010-12) of MTOA and sure miss the lifestyle and friends we made. Swallowed the anchor when the grandkids came along. Be safe out there! Jim

Glad you made it across okay. I'm not sure if I'm understanding correctly about your port fuel tank but check fuel tank vent lines, especially the vent fitting on the hull for blockage caused by mud wasp

@@karaDee2363 - Thank you for the tips on things to look for. So far we have had no further problems with that fuel tank but to be honest, I can’t remember what, if anything, I did to fix it. Old age ☹️ We had so many fuel problems at that time (watch for future videos) that this one got lost in the mix.

So how are you gathering you information on the McClellan-Kern River system for fuel, anchorage ect….. I found a book on it and will be getting it headed my way as we are planning a trip from Tulsa down

@@RLoose9494 - we rely a lot on Active Captain. We also talk to local people and we call ahead. If I had known about the book, I would have definitely bought it. Would be interesting to see how accurate and helpful it is.

@@CruisingThisOldBoat it’s a US Government print USGS. So who knows. But for planning purposes I’m trying to gather all I can. As a retired LEO it’s in my DNA to try and know as much as possible to keep my wife safe and have a smooth trip. 😀
