I will never forget my 13th Birthday. It was a chilly Sept as I was rolling through the killer HMV Heavy Metal section with my Grandfather in downtown Toronto at the time and I saw this record on display. This album was released that week also, so I asked the employee to throw on Divine Intervention so I could hear just what this BAD ASS album cover sounded like, Slayer? Who? What? By the time Killing Fields was over I pulled off the headphones and I looked at my Gramps who instantly purchased this album for me as I became a Slayer fan right then and there... forever... Still sits as my fav Metal album of all time to this day honestly. Thanks to my Grandpa for purchasing it for me, that record projected and opened the entire world of Heavy Metal for me. Metallica couldnt even do that, not the way Slayer could lol. I miss my Grandfather everyday and Slayer as well. GREAT video! 🤘💪

Killing Fields is awesome because of the 5/5 beat. I remember slapping some music professor with it who claimed that all rock was in 4/4.

Thanks again for another awesome and fun video! Yes! I’m sure I can speak for many of us in saying, we definitely enjoy watching these videos. Where you openly and honestly attempt to learn songs in a very human fashion. It is not only motivating, but it is also very cool to see you step into other player’s shoes. In my personal opinion, the more challenging and different the song is, from what you’re used to, the more entertaining and motivational your video will be. My recommendation for you is Periphery’s Scarlet. Being born in the 80s, all the music since has become part of my natural movement and bag. But, as I attempted Mark Holcomb’s style of riffing (prevalently displayed in Scarlet) I saw that there was a new approach to the guitar that I have not explored prior. I hope you take the time to try that track. Regardless, I’ll be here supporting you for as long as you are making content. Health and happiness to you and you family mate!
