Megadeth (dave) always know how to choose their lead guitarists. Maybe the best ones in the history of metal music (marty friedman, chris Broderick, kiko ...)

Def. That's because of his multi-genre background. Too often Metal ppl only stick to Metal and eventually it just all sounds the same. That's why even Ola is shocked that his solo works are not all shreddy metal stuff but fusion even an full album that was just pure jazz. Every musician should aspire to be multi-genre.

@jasper426 not really. We basically only learn English at school, and very rarely Spanish. But the English you learn at school is definitely not enough to hold even the most basic of conversations. I will never forget that time when I watched Megadeth. Kiko was about to throw his pick after the show. A lot of people were getting ready to jump for it so I didn't bother to try to give it a shot as well because it seems hopeless. He threw it and it landed on my forearm. I immediately folded my arms to lock it and acted naturally while everyone was down on their knees trying to look for it on the floor. I slowly walked away and when I was already far, I looked back and saw the people still on the floor. I still have that pick. I uploaded a photo of it on my Instagram account and Kiko himself gave it a like. I was happy for weeks. Until now, I guess.

I love Kiko, he's one of those guitarists that you can recognize after 5sec of playing. His style is so unique. He is the one that made me become a "metalhead" and pick the guitar with what I consider the best metal record ever: temple of shadows. Unfortunately, I still cant play his solos^^

As I listen to you guys talk, I'm hearing Kiko's solo stuff in my head. Absolutely LOVE his solo albums!! Reminds me of Al DiMeola, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai...but different. What a great addition to Megadeth, he is!

This is the 1st time I ever see a swedish guy with a more accurate sense of humor than a Brazilian dude. Anyways, I admire both of you guys. Cheers from a Brazilian in Chile. And Kiko, you carry our Brazilian proud around the world, brother. God bless you.

What is impressive about KIKO is how he manages to play perfectly between different styles ... Rock, Bosa Nova, Metal, Jazz ...

My favorite episodes of Coffee with Ola include the ones where the guest (insert amazing guitar player) plays guitar during the interview. Showcases something, shows us a riff, etc. Fantastic!

When he said I'm a Satriani fan, i swear to God he started to look like him with hair!

Unreal episode!!! Also epic shout out for Robin! That was so touching it made my day! Also really agree with the "quit while you're on top" theory for practicing, obviously dont cut what you're doing short but dont keep going and going till you start sounding worse or get frustrated
