"yeah, but without the lightning." The lightning Dean From Hell was not a custom guitar a company sent him. It was a guitar he won in a competition in his teens but his father had already bought him a dean previously so he sold the dean he won even though he felt it sounded better so he could afford a car at age sixteen. It did not originally have the lightning paint job. It changed hands over the years throughout the texas area before winding up in the hands of Buddy Blaze who was the one to give it the lightning paint job. Word is that Buddy gifted it back to Dime telling him that it really was "always yours." where it became the Dean From Hell.

How the hell can you have such an emotional attachment to someone you’ve never met let alone knew? Every time a Dime video pops up on my feed I get that feeling. It almost makes me well up with tears, not afraid to say it. The guy just seemed so fucking laid back, loved his friends, family and his fans. I grew up listening to Pantera. The first Album I bought was Far Beyond Driven and ever since that album I was hooked. The pure power and tone of Dime in that album is to this day unrivaled IMO. Wish I could’ve met him. Tears of hurt and joy to see these come out the cases and stories! I would take one over 50 million dollars priceless! Just to hold and play one of his axes would be magical! Some people dream of big homes fancy cars money so on. My dream would be a guitar of his! Love the legendary one with the lightning but in reality all are just as special in my eyes. I'd love to see his house kept as is like a shrine or a museum. I wonder if Rita or anyone from the Pantera camp could keep and maintain the house as is. Like change out light bulbs, keep the pinball machine working, and keep the place dusted. I'd imagine all the electrical in the house is outdated, so that leaves everything inside at risk of being lost in a fire. That would be a continued tragedy. Does anyone know who maintains it all?
