I always feel like I’m a bad gardener b/c I fall behind or forget bulbs I meant to plant. It’s nice to not be the only one this happens to. 🤞🏼they turn out ok

PPS might come to my house too-lol. I returned Christmas greenery to Hobby Lobby last week because my plans for arrangements fell to the wayside! I haven’t planted paperwhites yet but that is intentional as I want some flowers indoors for February. Like your practicality and creativity! Looking forward to follow up. Thanks Jenny.

Great to see you Jenny. Thanks for bringing us along with the experiment. A few years ago I found some very, very old daffodils & hyacinths in my garage. I planted them & actually got flowers!

I think those bulbs will do just fine!! I forgot about three bulbs I ordered this year. (And I paid $22.99 CAD each for them🙁). One was totally rotten so I threw it out. The other two were soft, so I planted them. Both have given multiple flowers on quite short stalks, but no leaves. So not a total waste. Your bulbs look normal - so no worries, I think.

I recycled potted hycinth amaryllis and paper whites. they came up but only the hycinth bloomed . I have them in my green house.i planted them in pots during the fall after storing them in the shed during the winter and summer

I've heard that paper whites are notoriously hard to get to rebloom. ☹️

I did not know the moss could regrow once dry. Thanks for that. Do you know whether only moss bought in greenhouses can be used? I sometimes see it sold elsewhere, even at Dollar stores, but I am hesitant to buy it as I don’t want it to contain chemicals that could harm my plants.
@HarmonyHillsHomeandGarden9 ай бұрын
Hm, I'm not sure! I would think that if it's the same brand/packaging as what's sold at a garden center, then it should be ok?

Jenny, I’m with Plant Protective Services. We’ve seen the abuse you’ve inflicted on your plants over the years. Abandoned bulbs, nursery plants still in pots over winter, failure to water. You must be stopped! 😂

Hi I've done that before. Can't wait to see if they grow. Something I use to cover the drain holes is used dryer sheets with a few pebbles or marbles to keep it in place while filling with soil.

Just watched winter sowing videos. One failure for TOO DRY soil is not checking soil throughout winter, but also noticed you started them with seed sowing potting mix, not regular soil mix. OUTDOORS you use regular NOT seed starting. Four containers of tiny seeds needs to be on top of soil not buried when dropped, so total fail. Perhaps before you teach gardening you need to DECIDE on 100 % commitment. If music 🎶 a priority, then do that. I think your fails have discouraged potential future gardeners then motivate them. I give you ALL KUDOS for attempting YOU TUBE, but you are not on an instructional level even passing master gardeners class because you have no time for research and give wrong info or like winter sowing, instructed viewers to use wrong seed starting soil and not regular potting mix. I would keep your channel and just do a tour 2-3 x a year spring and summer because October onward too busy to reveal your OWN garden upgrades.

ADDENDUM: Think the Jiffy powdery seed starter dried out worse and cause for most failures...SORRY so many projects did not work out but your passion at onset of spring fever is admirable but only lasts 8 weeks because it seems you lose interest by late June-July.

Ah, Donna, I see you're back and offering your opinions again. You even took the time to watch and comment on a very old video... that's dedication. Thanks for your input. Have a nice day.
