The 88-02 blaster rear brakes only lasted about 14 days before they broke and were never repaired, ever, on any blaster.

Man they are fun, I’ve subscribed and follow your content. Share your vids with my son too. We got a few quads over this last year to hang out with my kids as I work a lot and I felt they needed some dad time. We picked up a couple new cheap 125cc Tao Tao to have them try and get the hang of it, and my 13 year old was hooked my 9 year old not as much. We ended up getting an 06 trx250 ex and a 02 blaster with a big bore kit. We ride almost any chance we get but have to travel over an hour and a half to get to the trails. Our neighbors put up with us cleaning the quads and adjusting the carb around the back yard but we are inner city so can’t have too much fun. Keep up the good content!

A pro for the older drum-brake blasters is you can turn the front rims around and widen the track width. I thought ya'll were OG! lol

i had a 94 blaster that had no breaks and it was dangerous as hell it would do powerwheelies in every gear. no breaks and all the engine braking was the end of it though but i had fun with it i only payed 300 bucks for it and put a clutch in it and cleaned the carb and rode it for 6 months fairly often till it died worth it to me lol

Fun fact: the Yamaha blaster shares the same bottom end as the dt 200 which is liquid cooled so that means you can convert the blaster to liquid cooling

The only difference is the hydraulic brakes, new plastic, and the integrated headlight. 17hp from the factory, but for less than $1,500 you can make them SCREAM with over 30hp. Another thing, the 03-06 front brakes are a direct swap to the older blasters, and the rear brakes can swap but you have to find a way to mount the master cylinder. Alba front arms and banshee rear axle bolt right in and widen it enough to stop that tipping when you turn, and a +2 swing arm with all that will bring it to the stance of a 400EX. 400EX or trx450R rear shock bolts on, KEn O’Conner Racing makes a bushing kit to to mount the upper part of the shock. That shock with a set of Elka Legacy shocks up front and you’ll have a similar setup to what I’m building for my daughter to race.

In neutral revs strong but when im running and try to go faster it’s dont have enough power And at full throttle is the same no power at all Any Suggestions? My daughter's blaster goes a little better, I just did port n polish and took 20 thousands off the head and used a higher compression piston it's at the limits of high octane pump gas. Plus went with a 34mm carb. Plus used a breathable screen air box lid and free flowing exhaust. It will eat a Polaris scrambler 400cc 2-stroke on take off and top end. I also went a tooth taller up front. 😉 I should have her do a video to show you guys on GPS her blaster tops out at over 70mph. It has a yz250 power cage reeds in it as well. It's not stock. Lol
