Hey guys, I’m getting some comments that the audio is not good on this video. Please leave a comment under this comment telling me your audio experiences on the channel. Is this video bad? Are others bad? I want to make sure I have good audio because it’s tough to watch a video with bad audio. Thanks!

@skrtskit15218 ай бұрын
I did experience an audio issue when the volume went way down, i assumed it was something i did and turned my volume up. I went back and checked,it is at 7:20. I start out with my volume low almost off and your video is very loud until 7:20 (I can't make the volume lower until past 720), then I need to turn up my volume. So don't know if its you are me. lol

What I mean to say, is I have no control of video volume (up or down) until i get to 7:20.

Yeah the audio went to the left side only a couple of times, once at 10:46. It came back each time tho. Quality was okay, it just stopped being stereo sound.

Try using a shop vac to draw the corn out of of your tote bag. Once it gets down to a lower level you won’t have to cut the bag.

We give our chickens all the grass clippings, and sometimes even get them hay bales. It's amazing how much grass they will eat. Slows them on feed a little, but appears to be great eggs nonetheless. I assume it's because the bugs will come back in the pen with hay vs so called mud slick ground.

I know your approach to feeding/watering your pigs is working and you are a great example to your son about the value of hard work. So, well done! That said, if you are going to keep raising pigs, I believe you would be well served to check into ways to feed/water your animals in larger quantities using more durable equipment. This is going to also come into play when you farrow that sow. Have to think there are people no longer using their equipment near you that would sell some of it for a reasonable price. Even if it were not the latest stuff, it would ease your task a great deal. Just something to consider and lots of good people around to help you think it through.

Hey Mr. Green Jeans. I asked a friend of mine about the Bees in the Corn and this was his response I got this morning. "I have found bees on the ground corn the chickens feed on very often, and it's the fine particles they are after. What they do with them is a mystery to me. Also, I find them in our wood chip pile doing the exact same thing, gathering fine wood particles. Maybe they use it when making propolis?"

Hello Wes. It's looking good. I know by now that you have finished the brackets on the porch posts. Since the last ones had rotten because of the rainwater coming over the porch, could the post be put on a cement pad that is bolted to the porch and the posts bolted to the pads? All of this could be covered with trim that did not touch the porch, 1/2" or so, along each side and on top. Have good days!

Hey Wes, just a thought for you. Have you considered pouring just a few inches of cement into the bottom of the water barrels? This would help keep them steady. Maybe leave 1" - 2" between the top of the cement and the level of the nipples. You could use most anything that has some weght to it.
@falllineridge8 ай бұрын
Have not thought of that, but it's a great idea. Maybe a couple of cap blocks. That would reduce the amount of water that technically gets wasted below the nipples.

Just an idle thought while watching you grind and mix the pig chow.... I realize that you have gotten your own personal methodology going to the point where it works well for you, but it occurs to me that to get a really good mix-up of the finished product, it might be nice to use a small project type of concrete mixer for just before it goes into the tractor bucket. As i mentioned, i realize that your small batch method works fine for you, but i can't help but think it might be easier with a mixer if you get going on a larger requirement.
@falllineridge8 ай бұрын
Yeah I think a concrete mixer would be great. If I can find one at a yard sale one day then maybe.

@8:57 You said you really don't know what the bees are after in the corn meal. My guess is sugar. Corn has a lot of sugar in it and when you grind it you must be releasing enough of the sugar to attract the bees. Could that be it?

Then comes back between @15:33 and @15:34 marks. Looks like you cut from one clip to another and maybe there's some setting in your editing software that got changed or maybe something was changed on the camera between recordings? 🤷♂ I may be misremembering but I think it happened on the last video as well. Hope that helps.
