Last night sitting around with some friends having a few drinks and two of them start talking about a "Rat Truck" in a mag they saw that was just so cool. Sure enough they pull out the mag and it was the "Rock A Billy". The sound off the exhaust is really nice with the split. Keep on Keeping on.

Sounds great! I've had several inline sixes over the years...'52 Chevy 216, '55 Chevy 235, AMC 232, and AMC 258. All great engines.

oh.. I'm familiar with all those engines.. I like that this one is the predecessor to the 216 you mentioned.. which wasnt built until 37. my block is much smaller and its cool looking because... you can see the cylinders cast in the block.. if you know what I mean :)

Smooth man, real smooth! Definitely sounds good. So will the stacks come up to the same height as the air cleaners eventually? Obviously the fellow did a nice job. And you even gave us a nice ride to give our approval, not that you needed it, but you are such a nice guy you wanted it... When will the windshield get cleaned? Ha, ha, ha...

I never thought of doing barb wire for the plug wires. Did you have any issues getting that set up? I have a 64 nova four door I'm doing a six cylinder build on. Trying to come up unique ideas for it.
@1963impala2drWaylonWire5 жыл бұрын
young guys dont know it but plug wires used to have a copper core. i stripped out romex house wiring and twisted the barbs onto it.
@johncarpenter80865 жыл бұрын
That's awesome. So far I'm doing the comp cams 265 duration cam, the dual outlet exhaust manifold, and haven't decided on whether to run a single four barrel or do the triple one barrel setup.

ive heard good things about those 292s when I was a teenager.. it was a real cool thing that came out in the hot rod magazines of the day.. because in an era when the dragsters were running big block fords.. and 427 chevys .. and of course the favorite.. the 426 Hemi!! some guys came along with this blown 292 in a dragster.. and its HP and torque were really respectable in relation to its cu in!

Can't beat a 6. When I was in the Army we had civilian mechanics to work on pavers and special asphalt stuff. They had an old Dodge Power Wagon with a flathead 6 with a split manifold and 5-ton stacks. The old guy that drove it just puttered along and it sounded so good it'd make your heart hurt! A lot like yours. Keep at it!
